Dozing off in the passenger seat, I had a brief dream in which I looked up this mantra song on YouTube and found that it was from a channel called North Carolina Saves Mummy. As soon as I saw the name of the channel, I woke up.
I was born in North Carolina, thereby causing my mother to become a "mummy." She used to call me her "firstborn in the wilderness," which is how Lehi addresses Jacob in 2 Nephi 2. The Research Triangle isn't exactly the wilderness, but the Ohio home in which I spent more of my childhood than anywhere else -- where I usually tell people I'm "from" -- is now part of Hell Hollow Wilderness Area. I suppose the title I've chosen for this blog also reinforces this idea of being "from the wilderness."
In a comment on "Ladder-day Cinq," Wade McKenzie suggests that the ladder image associated with my birthday in The Secret Language of Birthdays puts me "in the position of a 'ladder-day' Jacob." He meant the biblical figure who saw a ladder to heaven, but Lehi's son Jacob also seems relevant. Wade also alludes to the fact that Secret Language associates my birthdate with the Devil card of the Tarot (the 15th trump for the 15th day of the month), which fits with the fact that the wilderness I'm from is Hell Hollow.
Incidentally, if I had to choose a Tarot card to represent my birthday, I would go with the Ten of Swords rather than the Devil. Note how closely the imagery corresponds to that of this novelty product marketed as the "Ides of March Pencil Holder":
Just an hour and 43 minutes before Wade left that comment, I had left a comment on "A spider recreates a scene from a Spider-Man movie" referring Debbie to what I called Lehi's Heart Sutra in "The Heart Sutra, Dinderblob/Darkinbad, and Zion" (February 2025) The Heart Sutra, being a Sanskrit text that plays a central role in Chinese Buddhism, is clearly adjacent to the Chinese-Sanskrit mantra above, and that post even refers to my wife's listening to a musical version of it. That post quotes part of 2 Nephi 2:11-12 and compares it to the Heart Sutra. Although I don't quote that part in the post, v. 11 includes Lehi's addressing Jacob as "my firstborn in the wilderness."
Coming back to the name of the YouTube channel in the dream, "mummy" refers not only to a mother but also to "(esp. in ancient Egypt) a dead body that has been preserved from decay." Bill, following Daymon, understands the word Egypt to refer sometimes to Numenor, and in "Reincarnation, or something else?" (July 2025), I used ancient Egyptian imagery to illustrate Bill's proposal "that I am the reincarnation of Ar-Pharazôn, last king of Númenor."
The headdress used in the meme to convey the idea of "Pharaohs and such" is in fact mummy imagery, taken from the famous mummy case of Tutankhamun. The ridiculousness of the White dude dressed up as King Tut also suggests the word mummery. (That post also mentions my uncle's idea of my being the reincarnation of Byron. A few days ago, in a comment on "Under," I quoted William Blake's address "To Lord Byron in the Wilderness.")
Given that context, "North Carolina Saves Mummy" could mean that being reborn there offers the being formerly known as Pharazon a chance at redemption.
Searching Google for north carolina mummy turned up an article about "Spaghetti: The 20th Century North Carolina Mummy." Interesting name.

North Carolina sets off a few other things in addition to your birth state.
As a name, Carolina has come up in a few instances and forms, including Neil Diamond's song Sweet Caroline. The other form: Charlotte. Which would be a tie to Spiders and Charlotte's Web and Peter's Unclean Animals via Wilbur the pig. A "North Carolina/ Charlotte", then, could be a reference to an actual Being who lives in the "North". Carolina/ Charlotte means "Free Woman".
The game got a little more interesting for me when I realized what North Carolina is famous for (it is on all of the license plates I see) - the birthplace of aviation/ First in Flight.
The Wright Brothers get credit for that, throwing in another cat reference with this being done at Kitty Hawk and the potentially aptly named Kill Devil Hills. The Wright Brothers have interesting names: Wilbur and Orville. Wilbur was just mentioned above in the context of Charlotte's Web and the Pig that was saved by her work, a potential tie-in to this Mummy reference, I guess - a link, in any case, to Sweet Caroline. The name Wilbur means "resolute protector, bright fortress, etc." and obviously shares its root and part of its meanings with William.
Orville means Golden City. And I've never actually seen it, but Orville for some reason just now reminded me of the Star Trek spoof TV show of a bunch of space farers aboard a ship called The Orville.

From a paranormal lens:
I wikied North Carolina to see if there were any sync connections
and sure enough I found several.
The only reason North Carolina caught
my eye is because North Carolina was in my personal
sync stream in the mid 1990's.
Interestingly North Carolina is also on the 77th Merdian West
( actual 80 but factor in the law of three),
aka God's Pole per Plato, John Dee and Francis Bacon
and others of The Mystery Schools in particular The Hermetic
Order of the Golden Dawn ( Rosicrucianism ).
Manly P. Hall was a Rosy and wrote The Secret Destiny of America
published in 1944 which features much of work of the 1924
book Mystic Americanism.
Synchronicity back story:
In 2003 ( which is when my dreams
became even more intense and more frequent ) I went
to a cool bookstore in hippie town, Yellow Springs Ohio.
The bookstore , which is still there, is called DARK STAR Books
and Comics. I capitalized Dark Star because of the
'coincidence' with your recent post: Black stars and White pharaohs.
The bookstore ( see link ) has over 40K books.
In 2003 while I was browsing in the metaphysical section, way
up high on the bookcase, I saw a brown hardcover book
and for some odd reason I wanted it, although there was no title
on the spine of the book and I had no clue what the book
was about.
The clerk at the bookstore retrieved it for me.
The price written on the very
first page was $20.00 which at that time I thought was a bit much,
but I purchased it, settled in to read it and lo and behold,
the subject matter was way over my head
at that time, so I put it in my closet where it sat until 2005
when another attendee that I met at
the Monroe Institute asked me if I had
ever read Manly P. Hall.
I told him about the book and that I didn't understand it.
I finally got around to reading the book
about 2015 or so because the dreams started getting more
and more intense and I began searching everywhere to find as much
information as I could to find out what it all meant.
Keep in mind I had my Steiner dream in 2003,
and my Fama Fraternitatis
dream in 2011, way before 2015 when I read the book
and came to the conclusion that Rosicurisim is a huge
part of my puzzle pieces.

Dawn is Rosicrucianism cloaked, so are The Freemasons
and all of the other 'Secret Societies,
under the umbrella of the Mystery Schools aka Sacred Science
aka Universal Language, aka The Language of the Birds.

of the ley lines in the paranormal especially
40th parallel north, 33rd parallel north and the 77th Meridian West.

After reading that I immediately thought of you William.
Hmmm.... I thought to myself , "to be... rather than to seem,

as to why I believe that William's Shadow archetype
continues to reappear time and time again
in his experiences especially his metaphysical
experiences.

and once again, I thought hmmm...
I'm not saying that you are not authentic to your beliefs

perhaps because on the other side of the door
is transformation which requires a letting go
much like a death. And therein lies the darkness
and the Shadow.

about Ohio being the center of everything and of course it mentioned
Kittyhawk's connection. ( see link ) . Given my recent
comments about 'balance' and the center, I found that sync
quite odd indeed.
BTW, I'm the middle child of my siblings.

boy is walking towards an 8 point star.

when we have an odd experience or dream,
we are asked to follow the symbolism and when on
that path and if we encounter the puzzle pieces
that we have already gathered,
I believe that it's a sign from our soul that
we are on the right path towards seeing the big picture
of the puzzle.

Your likening yourself to a Jacob reminded me of a dream that involved you last December, in which you played the role of a "Jacob".
In the dream, I was lying down on my childhood bunkbed. Strangely, the bed itself in the dream was some kind of conveyance (I called it a 'bottomless bed" in my notes) that people could travel through under the sheets. Meaning, people were flowing underneath me and travelling onward. Hard to fully explain, as I don't really know what was going on. I suddenly felt a hand reach up from below me and grab onto my foot. They used my foot as an anchor to pull themselves up beside me in the bed. At that point I saw that you were the owner of said hand.
You proceeded to push/ shoulder me to the side of the bed so that you could position yourself close to the wall. You said it was because you wanted to be close to the electrical outlets. As you said this, I noticed that a few outlets lined the wall by my bunkbed.
After I woke up, I made two connections:
First, grabbing me by the foot was a "Jacob" thing, since Jacob means "holder of the heel" and the story of Jacob is that he was born holding onto Esau's heel, almost as if he used Esau's birth to pull himself out as well. The name also means "Supplanter/ Usurper", which described your actions in the bunkbed when you took my place by forcing me to the side of the bunkbed.
Second, the electrical outlets seemed like a connection to Spiders, and perhaps specifically Ungoliant. We had made the connection between "Spider's Oil" and the symbol of electricity awhile back (I would later find the link interesting in other symbols like Leo's reference to "Mr. Electric Blue"), so the electricity seemed like a plausible reference. Even an "Outlet" would seem to take on symbolic meaning above just a simple electric outlet, in that the word means "place or opening by which anything is let out or escapes".
I didn't (and don't) know what to make of the dream in terms of it being bad or good. On the bad argument, you pushing me aside so you could get access to these electrical outlets seemed potentially not great - you know, trying to tap into Ungoliant's power or somethig. On the good argument, perhaps you were positioning yourself between the outlets and me in an attempt to protect me, ala the Spock symbolism from Wrath of Khan.
In Wrath of Khan, Khan escapes his exile and pursues Kirk onboard a ship named Reliant, a name I have linked to Ungoliant through an Elvish name game (Ril-liant in Elvish means "Spider's Light", which seemed a tie to Spider's Oil).
