Truth lies within violence like a scream

I had a very strange dream that I was directing a film adaptation of one of P. G. Wodehouse's Jeeves and Wooster stories, and one of the actresses was our own Debbie (much younger than her current age), who was playing the role of Madeline Bassett.

In the books, Madeline is known for her excessive sentimentality, saying for example that "the stars are God's daisy chain" and that "every time a fairy blows its wee nose, a baby is born." In the dream, though, the line Debbie-as-Madeline delivered was, "Truth lies within violence like a scream." Not exactly a Madelinesque thought.

Later in the dream, I looked through my blog archive (in book form) to find the title of the most recent book I had read. I was a bit surprised to find that it was something called Poppa and Poopa the Bear.

In the morning, I found a comment from Debbie, on "Myth-kitty and Stevie Smith," mentioning seeing the name Dr. Debra Bassett in the movie The Strange Dark. Her own first name is spelled Debra, and this obviously syncs with the dream about her playing the role of a Miss Bassett in a movie.

William,
 That dream was crazy!!!!
And you still don't think we are Kindred Spirits
 telepathically William?

I beg to differ.

I recall Ask Jeeves( as far as an internet search engine servant)
in the late 90's early 2000s.
Copy and paste: ( see link )
"Jeeves is a valet, not a butler; that is, he is responsible
***for serving an individual,***
 whereas a butler is responsible for a household
 and manages other servants."

The two fish Pisces are connected but swimming
 in two different directions symbolic of their dual purpose
which is to sacrifice OR serve.
Same but different.

In dreamwork,
having dreams about someone or even ourselves
as being younger than we are is more typical in
dreams than not. Oscar and I were young ( late 20's)

Keep in mind that the soul is ageless as well as 'genderless'
and void of any race. It's Universal.
The soul is pure spirit.

When I saw the brief scene of Dr. Debra Basset's
 file in the movie The Strange Dark it of course
 got my immediate attention because of the spelling.
  In the movie Dr. Debbie was a traditional Ahh, (Debor ah)
I am a RA.

I found the ahh interesting considering that Madeline Basset
in your dream was emotional almost childlike.
copy and paste:
"ah meaning:
used to express a range of emotions including
 surprise, pleasure, sympathy, and***** realization:"

You wrote : "In the dream, though, the line

"Truth lies within violence like a scream."
*******Not exactly a Madelinesque thought."

Remember William, every thing has a dual nature.

Spoiler Alert.:
In the movie the character Susan, the white Lily,
 in The Strange Dark was red haired', unaware
trusting and childlike although she found strength
to stab her foe the Lilith-dark haired Maria. Both totally
different with a common 'same' connection which
was Ed.
If you see the movie, you'll note that at the beginning
 there is an interesting but appears
trivial quarrel  between Susan and Maria
concerning Ed especially his name.
Each repeating Ed's name several times.

While watching the movie I thought it was quirky both
Susan and Maria repeating Ed's name.

But now after I researched a bit of the symbolism
in the movie, I can see the hidden 'message
behind it which is the meaning of Ed's name.
Copy and paste: asterisk mine
 It is derived from the Anglo-Saxon name Ēadweard,
composed of the elements ēad "wealth,
**** fortune;****prosperity" and weard "guardian, protector”.
~~~~~~~~
In the movie Ed had stored the KEY of the secret Third Star
inside of his mind. He possessed the fortune.
Recall my comments about the law of the three and
the triangle of 3 as the creation. Same but different.
Aren't you too the Fortunate Son/SUN William?
  I also thought interesting Dr. Debra's last name
Bassett and wondered if there was a hidden
message behind it.
A Bassett hound has long ears to the ground.
I found this interesting about Basset hounds.
"Laconian Hounds were reputed to  ***not give up
 the scent until they found their prey. ***
William,
Part 2
Prey could also mean the TRUTH.
Which truth certainly has always been preyed upon
by our opponents. IMHO
Copy and paste etymology:
"prey (n)
goods taken in war," from Old French preie "booty,
animal taken in the chase"
(mid-12c., Modern French proie), from Latin praeda
"booty, plunder; game hunted.
The meaning "act of preying or seizing upon anything"
is from early 14c.;***** bird of prey*** is from late 14c.
~~~~~~
In The Strange Dark, Maria and her assistant
were certainly preying on Ed to seize the truth
i.e. the secret that Ed was protecting.
As was Susan, as she didn't know whether
Ed was mentally well or not, which is why
Susan and Ed had separated before
a divorce.
Enter the psychologist Dr. Debra Basset... hunting
for the truth as far as if Ed was mentally unstable.
~~~~~~~~
Prey and/or Pray? Both searching
for the 'gold' which is the truth.
 In dream work a dream is more often than not
about the dreamer, not necessarily the
other person in the dream. That other person
is an archetype of something or someone
within the dreamer. Especially
if the other person in the dream is different in some way
as in your dream which featured the younger 'me'
as Madeline Bassett.
 I believe your soul presented
 Madeline Basset as an archetype of me
  because perhaps I represent ( my role in the dream)
the dogged search for the truth
in whatever direction it leads me. Much like
an explorer.
Follow the symbolism.
Correction: I wrote: "I found the ahh interesting
considering that Madeline Basset in your dream
was emotional almost childlike."
My bad. I realize now that in your dream
I was playing the role of Madeline Basset
who in the book's stories was very childlike.
William,
Correction again *&)^%$%!!!
I wrote :" In the movie Dr. Debbie was a traditional Ahh, (Debor ah)
I am a RA."
I meant to write that Dr. Debbie was NOT a traditional ahh
( Debor -ah ).... both she and I are RA's which is why
that scene got my attention.
William,
A few points I forgot to make in my original comment
about the connection to The Strange Dark regarding
the white Lily Susan and me and finding the article
on the Season of Return's blog
about the Rapture of the Lily Flower.
As mention, I found the article yesterday ( May 25 )
and I saw The Strange Dark a day or so before
which made me think how odd it was finding the article
about lilies.
The point I wanted to make was that in the movie,
grapes played a part of how Maria knew that Ed
was hiding in the house.
I didn't think much of the grape scene
when I saw the movie,
however when I read the article about the lilies
and the grapevine, it got my attention.
I thought.... hmmm...
The grape scene is also in the movie
trailer that you posted.
Grapes and wine being very symbolic
in the church which of course I know that you
know that.
copy and paste:
"Significantly, May to mid-June is also when:
• Grapevines blossom in Israel, the final
agricultural sign mentioned in Song 2
before the shepherd gathers
the bride: “The blossoming grapevines
spread their fragrance. Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come
away!’” (Song 2:13). "
When I think of grapevine I can't help
but think of that fact that when growing up,
our next-door neighbor had a grapevine,
and what also comes to mind the very popular 1967 R&B song:
I Heard it through the Grapevine.
The 1960's band Gladys Knight and the Pips, recorded
'I Heard it through the Grapevine' for Motown
but there were other artists who covered it
including Creedence Clearwater Revival who
'coincidently' are the same band who had
the 1969 hit Fortunate Son which I linked that
song in a previous comment.
Gladys Knight is a Mormon, and tomorrow is her birthday. For most of the band's history, there were three Pips in addition to Gladys herself.
