Note added: Given some of the topics I discuss on this blog, and my well-known penchant for thinly veiled hate speech and malinformation, I never dreamed that my very first post to be deleted for violating Community Guidelines would be this completely innocuous 1983 music video hosted on YouTube (same company as Blogger) and posted here (originally) without comment! Well, I guess everybody's got to start somewhere.
Update: Google deleted it again at 3:07 and reinstated it again at 7:00. No idea what’s going on.

William,
Welcome, albeit 'temporarily ' to the club.
I believe that to be banned from GO'''oogLE is a like a validation that your perspective is right on point because in order to get so much Heat means that you must be real close to the Fire (of truth).
IMHO, of course :-)))
And it’s back! Deleted and reinstated three times now and counting!
Thrice! Maybe the big Goog is having a seizure or something...
If I've heard this song before, I sure don't remember it. On first seeing this post on NWI, I expected Cat Stevens's Moonshadow, despite the only instance of "light" occurring in the bridge. Oh well. Think I like this one better!
Listening to it was the last thing I did before bed last night. The line "Four AM in the morning" made me look at the clock -- take one guess what time it was. Also, "she couldn't find how to push through" has been a frustratingly common state for me so far this year.
A few years back I had a vivid dream in which Cat Stevens performed a version of "Skip to My Lou" incorporating ideas from "Moonshadow." His voice conveyed real despair as one calamity after another struck.
I lost my hands, now what'll I do?
I lost my eyes, now what'll I do?
I lost my legs, now what'll I do?
(dramatic pause)
I ... will ...
... SKIP to the LOU, my DARlin'!
Then he belted out the chorus with great intensity, conveying the grim determination that, come hell or high water, legs or no legs, absolutely nothing was going to stop him from skipping to the lou.
Though I know full well what it actually means, in my head I can't help reading lou as loo. That is to say, toilet. *immature giggle*
Now I think about it, one of the myriad little art/writing projects attempted in my teens was dubbed Moonlight Shadow.
Mike Odfield may be one place where our, mostly separate, musical tastes overlap. I regard Oldfield as one of the most truly 'musical' of pop stars - good music just 'bubbled out of him' for several decades.
