The celestial smile and the Golden Age

I had lunch in a cafe today, and one of the songs that played in the background was "The Moon Is Made of Gold" by Rickie Lee Jones:

I noticed the song and looked it up because of the unusualness of the metaphor. Normally, the Sun is associated with gold, and the Moon with silver. Then I remembered that the same imagery is used in the Frank Sinatra song "Blue Moon," in which the blue Moon of the title is "turned to gold."

On Oswald Wirth's Tarot card, the Emperor's breastplate has the Sun on the right breast and a Moon on the left. In "The Emperor's Urim and Thummim," I identified these with the Urim and Thummim in Aaron's "breastplate of judgment" and with the square and compass on the breasts of the Garment of the Holy Priesthood.

More recent syncs (see for example "More Urim and Thummim syncs") have added more symbols to this schema. The summarize the ones relevant to this post:

  • Urim = Sun = gold = red lens for the right eye = square on the right breast of the Garment
  • Thummim = Moon = silver = blue lens for the left eye = compass on the left breast of the Garment
[Note added: After publishing this, I noticed I had accidentally written "gold lens for the left eye" -- the blue Moon turning to gold again! I've corrected it.]

In a recent comment on "Taking both pills," WanderingGondola provides two links. The first is this image:

As WG notes, the colors are backwards. Saturn, the golden planet, is shown as blue, while Neptune, the blue planet, is shown as gold. If the planets were shown in the correct colors, it would match our schema, with red/gold for the right eye and blue/silver for the left. The inversion syncs with the blue Moon turning to gold. A golden Neptune also syncs with my poem "The Golden Age," which reimagines blue-haired Poseidon (Neptune) as a blond. That poem also features a blue Sun, again paralleling the blue Moon turning gold.

What really got my attention, though, was the name given to this triple conjunction: Celestial Smiley Face. Having no Mormon background, WG was almost certainly unaware that "celestial smile" is Mormon slang for the neckline of the Garment when visible through one's outer clothing. Here, for example, is Killers frontman Brandon Flowers, a Mormon, displaying a "celestial smile":

Here is the second thing WG linked:

Again we have an inversion of the expected colors, this time including a blue Sun, for an even more direct link to "The Golden Age."

William,
I see the red tulip.
Since you are familiar with Wirth's Tarot cards
were all of his tulip's red? I think the tulip on
the Magician's Card is red too.

Yes, all Wirth's tulips are red.

Tonight my kids wanted to watch that Nicholas Cage movie, National Treasure, again, with those magical spectacles red and blue-green spectacles.

At the beginning of the movie, the grandfather was recounting the mythology of the Knights Templars and the Masons. As they showed the Square and Compass sign, I started thinking about their positioning as an L and V as you've written about before.

In thinking about it, I noticed that L and V make up the Roman numeral LV. LV is 55.

The number didn't have necessarily any special meaning at the moment, other than the number 5 has come up as a symbol before. But what caught my attention is that no more than a couple minutes after thinking this, which was a new thought to me, the number 55 came up in a very specific context in the movie.

Ben gets the riddle of the Iron Pen, which I had riffed on before and compared to the Iron Rod which leads to the White Tree, and had further used the answer of the riddle, the Declaration of Independence, to also tie into this literal path or walk of people out of captivity and to freedom. And this made sense to me with my very first "Elvish word" experience happening on the 4th of July, which celebrates the signing of the Declaration, a symbol of freedom.

Anyway, 55 came up in this context because 55 men signed the document. I guess the only other creative thought I had in linking the LV to 55 and "signers", is that sign originally means a motion or gesture of the hand, as well as a mark. This concept of "signers" also ties to the garment and the L and V marks. These marks are each associated with hand gestures, or as the temple officiator calls them, signs.

Thus, a reference to "55 signers", based on the LV connection, could be a reference to the people who make the sign or gesture of "55", or the marks of L and V.

WW,
LV is also Love omitting the vowels.
Born in 1955, the master number 55 caught
my eye in the National Treasure as well.

55 can be symbolic of two hands placed together
as 1 to manifest. To pray for example.
Copy and paste:
"In the Bible, hands are rich with symbolic meaning,
often representing power, action, possession, and blessing.

The use of hands in Scripture conveys a wide rang
of theological and moral truths, reflecting the divine
and human interaction in the biblical narrative."
~~~~~
Interesting the reference to possession.
The old adage: If you don't hold it, you don't own it',
comes to mind.
55 signers using their hands to manifest a new nation.
5 is the number of change. Master numbers strengthens
the original number. They are master numbers because
they are TWINS.
Magicians use their hands so as to distract/
misdirect.
Nick Cage, whose character's surname is **Gates,
changes/transforms things by stealing the
Declaration of Independence.
A gate is a portal. Bill Gates, also born in 55, has certainly
played his hand in the transformation of this duality dimension.
Although masters numbers aren't reduced in numerology,
5+5= 10. THE ONE. 101010101010, the binary system.
Michael Jackson 'transformed ' himself by wearing
a white glove. From the Nigredo to the Albedo.
But 56 people signed the Declaration of Independence! Am I missing something?
William,
56 equals 11.
I guess LVI adds a third mark -- square, compass, and rule.
WW and William,
I am addressing you WW because your comment
about National Treasure drew
my attention to one of Nick Cage's
movies that I've never seen before.
I've seen most all of Cage's movies,
including Face Off and the first National
Treasure, however I didn't know
there was sequel to National Treasure.
I'm glad I found Book of Secrets as it has a whole lot
 of my personal puzzle pieces hidden within.
 In the scene in Paris, note that Ben Gates makes
 reference to twins, (Lady Library in Paris).
There is an inscription on the Statue that
reads: "These twins stand resolute", meaning
that the treasure can only be found
when both maps are one.
The Resolute desk in the Oval Office
and in the Queen's Office in Buckingham Palace.
Although IRL the Resolute Desk is at
the Buckingham Palace, but not in the Monarch's
Office according my fact check research.
 Also in the scene with Ben Gates and Abigal
 at Buckingham Palace
 in Queen Elizabeth's office, note the white lilies
 in the window.
In the movie the Queen's Resolute Desk holds
 a partial piece of the treasure map.
Ben finds a part of
the treasure map in the Resolute Desk
 by using a Four digit code :1876
which reduced adds to 22, a master number.
I've commented about 22 many many times
on this blog, including Orwell's 1984 which reduces
to 22 and 1960's Twilight
Zone episode: 22.
Also another important clue to find the treasure
is reference to the Olmec's Nobel Bird.
When Ben and Abigal travel to DC to find
the 2nd part of the treasure map at the Resolute
Desk in the Oval Office it's during the Easter Egg
Roll. Inside the Oval Office in the window appears
to be white tulips, which would be appropriate
since the setting is in the spring.
 However it could be white roses. I couldn't really
determine exactly which.
In DC at Mount Vernon, Ben decides to kidnap
the POTUS to get access to the Book of Secrets
which only the POTUS knows where it's located.
 In one scene Ben and the POTUS
are in an old underground tunnel. There is an
engraving in the stone marked L and W. The W
is written with two V's clearly connecting.
  Also in-between the L and W
is a V that is missing its point.  I thought of you when
I saw the LV.
There is also reference to Mount Rushmore which is very
significant to the movie, because it's where the City
of Gold is located.
Interestingly Mount Rushmore's coordinates
are 40 lat and 104 long. Actual coordinates
are : 43°52′44″N 103°27′33″W, but allow
for the Law of Three.
The El's followed/follow the 40.
I've also commented many times
about the 104 longitude which is where I believe
the Capital of the New Atlantis'
will be. Specifically Denver Colorado.
I had an intriguing dream in May 2017
which sparked a gazillion hours of
research. I titled the dream Colorado
Springs.
Note, I've NEVER been to Colorado before IRL.
And at the very end of the movie , if you
recall is Mount Rushmore and the hand
and a bird are very significant clues.
Also Ben's mother joins in the hunt.
Her name is M (Em, Emily)
Also interesting is Mount Rushmore
which Mount Rushmore is also significant in Alfred Hitchcock's
1959 movie North by Northwest,
which I also commented about on
this blog.
North is the direction of the EL's.
Also significant the number 47.
Which is Donald Trump's number
and totals 11.
Very interesting movie.
In the movie's defense, Thomas McKean, the assumed 56th signer, apparently did not sign the document until as late as 1781, while the other 55 signed in 1776 at various times. The story premise is that the treasure was hidden with these clues to keep if from falling into the hands of the British during the Revolutionary War, so it could be that the clue was written prior to McKean signing. Many people, however, feel it was probably a mistake in the movie script.
But again, I am not interested at all, in that earlier comment or any other, on actual US history or the actual facts around the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I am only interested in the Declaration as a symbol, particularly as it plays out in this National Treasure story. I was thinking of the number 55 as it related to the garment symbols, and fairly immediately afterward Ben Gates is talking about 55 "signers", and something about an Iron Pen, etc., and this got me thinking and seemed to be relevant. There are other things in the movie that were completely made up, like Washington having 13 campaign buttons, which turned out to be meaningful, so I would bucket 55 in that category.
In the scene, Ben/ Cage refers to the Pen as "resolute". As Debbie mentions above, "Resolute" was used in the second movie to describe Twins - both the Statues of Liberty, and the matching Resolute Desks. In both instances, these Twins are separated from each other by the sea.
In my story, the Holy Ghost is a pair of Twins, and they are also currently in two separate places separated by the sea (the area beyond our world - space, whatever you want to call it) and it is via their work that many will be brought to Freedom - their own Independence from any other nation or people. As an example, in Nephi's vision, a man among the Gentiles and many others are brought across an "ocean" after the Holy Ghost "wroughts" upon them.
The number 5 has been associated with the Holy Ghost in past symbols primarily due to the 5th age, as I look back on my notes. So twin 5's from 55 seemed like it could tie to that. I have the baptism of the Holy Ghost as finally closing out the 5th age, and ushering in the 6th, which, in my own opinion, leads to the ability of people to leave this world and go to another, as partially represented in the LDS temple drama in which people still wearing their garments (bodies/ coats of skins) get a little more dressed up and go on a journey first to the Terrestrial then Celestial Kingdoms.
