Standing behind me was a woman I could not see, but whose name I knew was Tessa. As I contemplated the Rose or Lotus and listened to the chanted mantra, she shaved my head with an electric shaver. "Though your sins be red like crimson," she said, paraphrasing Isaiah, "they shall be as wool." Isaiah's point was that wool is white, but my understanding in the dream was that I was being shorn like a sheep -- "shorn and shriven" was the phrase that came to mind -- sin falling away like wool under the buzzing shears. (See also "Worm Jacob.")
I know baldness has been a negative symbol in the syncs, particularly on Bill's blogs, but it certainly seemed positive in this dream. The shaving combined with the Buddhist chant made it feel as if I were symbolically entering monastic life.
Who was "Tessa"? The mantra being chanted in the dream is associated particularly with Avalokiteśvara, and Tessa seems like a reasonable abbreviation of that name. Although Avalokiteśvara is considered to be male in India and Central Asia, in East Asia she is female and is known to the Chinese as Guanyin, Goddess of Mercy. ("Hey, hey, Mercy Woman plays the song and no one listens.")
In the morning, I checked the comments on this blog and found a new one from Bill:
I woke up around 3 am this morning after a series of dreams I don't remember all that well. However, the word "Tess" was running through my mind to such an extent that I was forced to get up and think about it for a little bit. The word just wouldn't let me go.
He goes on to write seven more paragraphs about possible meanings of the name Tess. One of the Elvish words he brings up is actually tessa, the same as the name in my dream, which means "maid, maiden."
Note added: Just after publishing the above, I was out running errands and passed a jewelry shop called Blossom Day. Since the dream had featured a chant about a jewel in a flower, that caught my eye. Blossom Day made me think of Bloomsday, the day on which the novel Ulysses takes place (so called after the main character, Leopold Bloom). Despite the frequent references on this blog, I've actually only read Ulysses once, more than 20 years ago, and so I wasn't sure exactly when Bloomsday is. I looked it up. It's tomorrow, June 16.

"Shriven" refers to confession or some manner of penance, so this does seem like a positive symbol in context with Tessa shaving your head. The word also has to do with writing.
The chanted mantra also has an Elvish translation that seems particularly relevant. "Om mani padme hum" translates roughly to "Voice/ resonant sound holy to walk us to sleep/ bottom/ great number".
Or, polishing that up, would be "Holy Voice (Word) to walk us to rest", with that last word "hum" maybe having a few different meanings that could be applied and added to that basic phrase (i.e., dreams, foundation, soil, etc.). You get the basic idea, though.
Just adding this here, but this morning I had a dream in which I was holding a book. I had flipped the book to its back cover. On the top was a title or caption which read "The Art of an Island Fire". Below the caption, was a picture of a pirate boat, and on the deck were pirates, though they were all skeletons. I understood the book to be a picture book.
When I woke up, the most obvious connection I could make was to the Numenoreans' assault on the island of Eressea, in which they set it on fire.
I'll amend my Elvish translation a little bit above. I remembered that the word "Hum" had come up back in 2023 with the "Morley Hum Exterminator" and the sync with the Gold and Silver audio jacks.
In that instance, Hum was a reference to a dream or sleep that needed to be exterminated. This went along with the repeated symbolism of "Wake Up Time" and things/ Beings needing to wake up.
So, the reference of Hum in the chant may in fact be a reference to dreams/ illusions that are walked from, if you get my meaning. So, the phrase would be "Holy Voice/ Word to walk us [from] dream/ slumber".
This would fit the earlier references, and the general story overall.
In your dream of the "Wow", or inverted Mom which we think might be Ungoliant, a phrase was added in which someone was trying to say this was not a dream, or something like that. It may be that what is on the Rose Stone says otherwise, or at least that the reality we presently inhabit is something less than fully 'real', which makes sense.
William,
Part 1 of 3
Your Worm Jacob post caught my eye probably because
of our beloved Jacob who passed last July.
Recall I shared this with you before about what happened
to Jacob and I a few months before he died.
IRL Jacob and I were in the den ( the computer room ),
and as we walked out to the living room (Jacob
leading the way he always did ) Jacob abruptly
stopped and proceeded walking back.
Of course I knew something was wrong so I walked around
him and into the living room and lo and behold I
saw a black rat snake which was moving out
from under the sofa, which startled both Jacob
and I as I have never seen a snake
in the house.
I thought of that experience when I read your
Worm Jacob post.
I also found this interesting in your post as well:
"Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel;
I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer,
the Holy One of Israel (Isa. 41:14).
~~~~~~~~
That number caught my eye as I've commented about
the number 41/14 many times before
and its connection to Switzerland. ( link below )
Unus pro omnibus, omnes pro uno
I 4 all ..... and all 4 1.
Also interestingly, a couple of days ago I watched
on Amazon the 2020 ( 22 symbolism ) the movie
Greenland. I didn't see Greenland in 2020 when it came
to the theaters because of c-19. However I had
been researching about Greenland for several years
( prior to the movie ) after I had
the Where's My Horn dream in 2015. So I was very intrigued
that a movie was produced about Greenland.
It was the Where's My Horn dream and the symbolism
in that dream that lead me to a gazillion hours
of research which led to The Third Temple, the Shemita,
the Ram's Horn( i.e Trumpet)
, The Shushan ( Suzy/ LILY ) Gate aka The Golden Gate,
Donald Trump's 'selection' to POTUS in 2017 and his role as
Israel's Cyrus and more importantly Trump's role
in the bigger picture of what is unfolding on the world stage
now
even as we speak.
The Where's my Horn dream also led to Thule
and the Hidden Hand aka the Eights ( symbolized
by the eight-point star of Ishtar i.e a ship's steering wheel )
whom I believe the Eights live in Greenland and also Switzerland.
***I believe that this Greenland movie suggests
that very same thing as well as you will see if you
decide to see the movie.
Interestingly and speaking of Buddhist chants
and Switzerland
another Buddhist chant'er was Tina Turner
who lived and died in Switzerland.
Check out her chants on Larry King live. ( link below )
Note her Blonde' Lioness mane of hair, which is a wig but
became her trademark.
But getting back to Greenland,
I didn't see the movie in 2020 because
of c-19, but was able to see it on Amazon around 2022 or so.
Why I'm commenting about the movie Greenland
is because of several very interesting syncs
that happened to me and now I believe
connects with your post.
The first being that in the movie one of the
scenes of chaos ( this will make sense once you see
the trailer below) is of John, the protagonist, his wife ( Allison)
and son ( Nathan) became separated in the chaos.
Allison and Nathan began running through the mass crowd
of people.
At one point Allison approaches a man and wife getting into
their car who are also fleeing the chaos.
In the background there are large billows of smoke
and fire in a 360 degree circle all around the city.
As Allison and her son approach the strangers looking
to get away from the chaos to her father's home in Lexington KY,
Allison frantically asks the strangers:
Are you going North? I need the go North!!
That really got my attention as you may recall
in my Moon River dream,
I shouted the same exact thing
and in that same 'situation' (of billowing smoke and fire
and chaos ) and many people running around in panic.
Do note that I saw the Greenland several years
ago but for some reason I had forgotten that
part about "going North".
Again, keep in mind that
my Moon River dream was in 2014. The Greenland movie
was released in2020 and I didn't see the movie until 2022.
So, the Moon River dream was 7 years prior.
Part 2
Another interesting sync was just last night ( June 14).
I had suggested to Marshall
that he should watch Greenland again
( we both had seen it in 2022 ).
While Marshall was looking at the movie on his computer
I was in the den on the computer
and in my youtube feed, an old 1959 One Step Beyond
video popped up on my youtube feed.
I love One Step Beyond. I vaguely remember watching it
back in the day but I don't recall many of the episodes like
I do Twilight Zone. Twilight Zone is iconic.
Also unlike Twilight Zone ,supposedly all
of the One Step Beyond stories were based on true events.
This particular episode I hadn't seen before.
It's called the Navigator. ( see link )
Remember all of this is just random. I decided to look
at the Navigator ( it's excellent btw ) and lo and behold
at the end of the episode, John Newland ( the narrator)
mentions that the true events in the story
occurred off of the southern tip
of GREENLAND.
I ran to Marshall ( who was still looking at the movie Greenland)
and said: You're not gonna believe this!
What's the odds???
And last but not least, in the movie Greenland there is mention
of Wormwood and this following passage below from Rev 8:10
Note the reference to 'springs of water', and my recent
comment about my Moon River Dream and Yellow Springs.
Copy and paste:
"The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell
from heaven, blazing like a torch,
and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the ***springs of water.
The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters
became wormwood,
and many died from the water, because it was made bitter. (Rev 8:10–11")
William,
Part 3
Given all of the above End of an Age syncs
and puzzle pieces connections I also found this interesting
about the meaning of the name Tess:
Greek
Meaning "Harvester; to reap," "Summer," "Star"
I think that we are at the Harvest William.
A 70th Jubilee.
As mentioned previously
I try not to be a Debbie Downer. I really do.
However ignoring the signs doesn't mean that the signs have
no meaning, nor does it mean that the symbolism given
has only One meaning.
I believe that Knowledge is just a power source.
The good, the bad AND the ugly.
All of these syncs including your Worm Jacob link
and post is not , at least to me,
a coincidence
The sync fairies have been very very busy..
This is the Pituffik Space Base in Greenland.
It was previously named Thule.
I associate that word “shriven” with Coleridge and the Ancient Mariner:
I saw a third—I heard his voice:
It is the Hermit good!
He singeth loud his godly hymns
That he makes in the wood.
He'll shrieve my soul, he'll wash away
The Albatross's blood.
The Hermit also appears in the “Worm Jacob” post linked here.
Bill’s dream of the ship with a skeleton crew is also Ancient Mariner imagery.
Agree on the connection between my skeleton crew dream and the ancient mariner imagery, with skeletons being a symbol of something very old/ long ago.
It serves as potentially another tie to Pharazon, of course (and I will share one other in a follow up comment that also ties to your more recent post involving your birthday).
As skeleton crew is a saying that means the bare minimum number required to operate something - in this case a ship.
In Slumbered, after drinking from the gilded cup on Eressea, Pharazon fully gives in to Sauron's plan to continue the assault and sail beyond Eressea to Aman itself:
"... Pharazon bolted the heart firm to Thu's plan, and purposed then and there to row, if alone as king maybe, upon the shore of the Lands Undying, and finally claim title wrongfully withheld for all the ages of Man..."
The act of rowing or sailing alone would certainly be operating the ship with a skeleton crew. Further, in Pharazon's assault three of the Nazgul accompanied him. While explicitly described as being wraiths and thus invisible to natural eyes, in the Rankin-Bass cartoon adaptation of Return of the King, the Nazgul are depicted as robed skeletons, strangely. Further, in the Lord of the Rings movies, Peter Jackson also makes this same creative distinction, depicting the Nazgul as skeleton-like when Frodo puts on the ring and sees them while at Weathertop.
This is possibly another meaning to the Skeleton Crew - the Nazgul who also assaulted Eressea.
In Coleridge’s poem, the Mariner’s ship is at one point literally manned by animated corpses.
Last night, my youngest son wanted to watch War for the Planet of the Apes. He saw the other two movies a month or two ago, and this is the last installment in the prequel trilogy (though I guess there is now a fourth movie that was released last year).
Anyway, in this movie, the antagonist is a man simply referred to as The Colonel. He is played by Woody Harrelson. There is a scene which jumped out at me, involving The Colonel standing in front of everybody and shaving his head. It is such a strange, unnecessary addition to the scene that I just took particular note and filed it away. I then read your dream of Tessa shaving your head this morning.
Here is the scene. It is short, but you can jump to around the 50 second mark for when The Colonel emerges, shaving his head.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPpuntRV-Gs
We've also discussed individuals taking titles and names from others, like with Ungoliant wanting to be Varda, Queen of Heaven, for example. The Colonel calls his force of men "Alpha and Omega", which is a title we are familiar with. The men are all tattooed with the Alpha and Omega greek letters. In the clip, you will even notice that The Colonel gives the symbol of the cross to his men.
The Colonel is an interesting name, since that has come up before on your blog in the person of Colonel Sanders. You even wrote a post about the Colonel being raised or brought up from below the water. Also pretty funny, but The Colonel is noted for Fried Chicken. In the Minecraft video I linked for you in a past post, Jack Black sings a jingle while frying a chicken.
A Colonel being raised from below the water is one link to your most recent post, with the language of the "Abyssal" heart referring to the depths of the sea. The other is your birthday mention, yet again.
In the Planet of the Apes prequel films, an ape named Caesar is the main protagonist, and thus Woody Harrelson's main rival and enemy.
Your birthday is March 15, the Ides of March. It was Caesar who was told to beware that day.
And, of course, Planet of the Apes continues the Gorilla/ Ape/ Monkey theme.
The Woody Harrelson gesture of the cross is also a specific reference in Catholicism to the Trinity, or Three Persons/ Beings in One, in that belief system.
In Daymon's/ Pengolodh's description of Pharazon's fateful moment when he finally decides (or is overcome) to sail on to Aman, here is the name and title he claims for himself. It has very Trinitarian overtones, with the "three in one" reference. This continues on directly from the earlier quote I included above:
"... and finally claim title wrongfully misled, then as cozened, lastly settled - as in gift given by friends of unceasing generosity - in what prison only Vala may devise: Westernesse, overwatched he believed, by elf-wardens, sickly and fearful to lose their usurped realm, a buffer to the true prize, and temptation for all save the highest in wise-lore, and pure-claim to that throne reserved; King of the World, and every breath there taken in, and every cry to hear, So he named himself, Willful, Chosen, Fated: Three in One, King of Air, Earth, and Wave."
I say 'overcomed' above because in Pharazon's fate, one can see something of Frodo's own demented mind in the end, when the Ring finally overcame him. Pharazon's perceptions as described above remind me of that moment - everything has become distorted and inverted, and he has been left to demons. I can imagine it that way, at least.
Frodo had Gollum there to bite off the ring and thus save him from his doom, but by all accounts Pharazon had no such escape route in place once he launched his ships.
I just saw you "animated corpses" comment.
This would also strongly tie to Numenor, where it was said that they had been practicing the art of Necromancy (with Sauron, the Necromancer). In Words of the Faithful, it describes how bodies of dead people were preserved in order for spirits to possess those bodies. I believe it is implied that those reanimated corpses joined the assault, and this would then be a direct hit for both Coleridge's poem, but also this image of a Skeleton Crew. Maybe that is the more direct meaning of my dream image? This crew of reanimated dead bodies. Or at least them in conjunction with the Nazgul.
Your dream seems to fit fairly well with a series of dreams I had back in 2020. One of the dreams features a shaving incident of someone whose gender wasn't altogether certain, sort of like the girl in your dream who is associated with a male and female. Although in this case, it's the girl who gets shaved whereas in your dream, she shaves you. There is also a ship.
I had a dream of unknown people who were also getting words like me, all of us were sitting at table. One of them said she (I was actually confused about her gender a little b/c she was bald, but I thought it was a young woman/teen girl) had words. The first word was “six” but she didn’t tell us the others. I put my palm out on the table as if I had something for her and she put hers out as if to receive it (or maybe trade?) but I actually had nothing for her so I wasn’t sure what to do. Then one of the others at the table told her to “shave like she had never shaved before”. So she laughingly sat in a chair while others put cream on her face and then they shaved her (or at least pretended to) while she laughed. The words weren’t known between any of us ahead of time but now she told us the other words were “to shave”, so “six to shave”. I looked at the clock right as she was finished being shaved and it was exactly 6:00. I asked if the timing is usually so precise and she said yes every time. At one point in the dream I remembered guessing the girl was actually not a girl at all but a seeing stone. Later that same night I had another dream that had to do with a ship. I couldn't retain the dream. All I knew was it involved a ship and somehow connected to the "six to shave" dream.
