This is my third attempt to "read" a Tarot card by sleeping with it under my pillow. The paucity of dream content this time around makes it particularly challenging. All I could remember upon awaking was a single incomplete sentence: "The moon is a sickle to cut . . ." -- to cut what? I know that the verb had an object, but it vanished from my memory almost instantaneously, so all I've got to work with is those seven words. I think my chance of success is low, but it would hardly be in the scientific spirit to publish only my "successful" experiments.
I have not yet checked the card and will not do so until later today, after this post has been published. Here are my ranked guesses. If nothing but random chance is at work here, my probability of getting it right on my first guess is 1.28%; in two guesses, 2.56%; in three, 3.85%; in four, 5.13%.
1. The High Priestess: This card shows a crescent moon which is clearly not a partially illuminated spheroid but rather a sickle-shaped object. The cross on the priestess's breast, with a waxing crescent below it, suggests the astrological symbol for Saturn, which represents a sickle. My reason for ranking this first is that when I thought of it I got a little déjà vu feeling, as if something on the card corresponded to already-forgotten imagery from my dream.
2. Two of Swords: Going by logic alone, this would have been my first choice. It's a sickle-shaped moon combined with the "cutting" imagery of swords. We could even see "to cut" as a pun for "two cut," meaning two swords. (On the other hand, the High Priestess card actually includes the string "TO.") The blindfold imagery also seems an appropriate commentary on the experiment itself, which I have dubbed "reading with my eyes shut."
3. Eight of Cups: Another sickle moon, with a round object placed against what would be the blade of the sickle. This is thus the only card to show a sickle moon cutting some particular object. It's also a card which means something to me personally, which would put it in the same category as Temperance and the Six of Cups.
4. The Moon: Since part of the dream content was the exact phrase "the moon," we can't exactly neglect this possibility.
Stay tuned for the results.
Update (2:00 p.m.): I was just about to go upstairs and check the card when I caught myself thinking, "Now we'll see if any of my guesses was right, or if it's just something unrelated like the Emperor or the Five of Wands." I don't know why those two cards in particular came to mind, but I want to log them here just in case.
Update (2:04 p.m.): And it's the Five of Cups. Total miss.

William,
Part 1 of 2
But look at the symbolism of that card that
was under your head.
Maybe not what you excepted, but that's never the point
in the metaphysical. ALWAYS expect the unexpected.
According to his bio Edgar Cayce slept with
his head on medical books not knowing the content
or what the medical information
meant, as he relied on his 'spiritual advisors and/or
voices" to translate the meaning through him.
Cayce was just the receiver.
Much like radio waves. Psychics are just the receivers
the information/knowledge is in the air.
I found this information below interesting about
Cayce as it somewhat supports
what I personally believe about tapping a vast spectrum
of ideologies, not just one or two.
copy and paste: asterisks mine
"An October 10, 1922 Birmingham Post-Herald article
quotes Cayce as saying that he had given 8,056 readings to date.
He recorded some 13,000 to 14,000 readings after that date.
*** Other abilities attributed to Cayce include :
astral projection, prophecy, mediumship, access
to the Akashic records, Book of Life, and seeing auras,
astrology and dreamwork.*****
~~~~~~~~
A vast spectrum, no?
I think the Akashic records and Thoth's library of
all the knowledge there is, is one and the same.
Wasn't acquiring and being obsessed with knowledge
Oldin's quest as well so much so that he sacrificed an eye for
it? One Eye again, no?
Copy and paste:
"In the religion of Theosophy and the spiritual movement
of Anthroposophy, the Akashic records are believed
to be a compendium of***all universal events, thoughts,
words, emotions, and intent ever to have occurred in the past,
present, or future, regarding not just humans,
but all entities and life forms.
They are believed by theosophists to be encoded
in a non-physical plane of existence known as the mental plane."
Akasha (ākāśa आकाश) is the Sanskrit word for
"aether", "sky", or "atmosphere"
William,
Part 2 of 2
I refer to this same Akashic knowledge
as the Sacred Science
Knowledge which I believe we all have privy to,
but in order to access the knowledge
I believe that it's imperative
to raise our frequency so as to
transcend the illusion.
And I believe we raise our frequency through
acquired knowledge as previously
mentioned.
The first sign that our frequency has changed is;
a craving for sweets.
At Monroe after our Binaural Beat's sessions
there was always a large bowl of candy available
and they told us why: sugar grounds us.
Which is probably why there is a ton of
sugar and high fructose corn syrup in hundreds
of food products.
Our 'opponents' wants us grounded to
this dualty dimension so as to control us
and serve them.
Saturn belts us in the wheel.
And yes, I have been a lifelong sweet craver,
especially in the last 20 years or so when
it seems as if the dreams and syncs
and paranormal experience have really gotten
more intense and more frequent.
Regarding the Tarot card you didn't expect
and my perspective:
Interesting the black cloak. Recall
that I commented many times and IMHO that you seem
to have a lot of Nigredo symbolism in your syncs and dreams
perhaps meaning the beginning of an alchemical
transformation, which is what I personally believe
many of your syncs' Big Picture alludes to.
But of course, nobody but us (the dreamer) can tell
us what our dreams or syncs means.
However symbolism is universal.
Also that Tarot card has several female ( intuition) Luna
energy which are: the 5 cups/chalice ( cup being
the female's womb ) and the water, which
the cup transports the water.
Also the number 5 in numerology meaning change.
There's even a bridge in the Tarot Five of Wands
which of course a bridge is a portal
for change, going from one place to another.
Recall I shared Cayce's story about his vision
of Virigina Beach which happened on the
Third Street Bridge over the Great Miami River
in Dayton.
Interesting there are 3 cups lying down
in the Five Of Wands Tarot card.
All endings are beginnings.
Your sync fairies seem to be giving you a WHOLE LOT
of clues lately.
P.S. In order to retain a dream and keep it from
fading away, I lie perfectly still in the same position
after opening my eyes. I then close my eyes again
for a few minutes to see if I can unravel more.
Sometimes I'll call ( not out loud ) an 'assistant 'to help
me unravel the dream. In my case it's been
one of the dogs I've had
who was in spirit at the time of the dream.
Now it's Jake.
If I recall a bit more, I 'title the dream right away
in my mind with what little information I do remember,
and then write as much as possible when I get up.
"The moon is a sickle to" returned exactly one Google search result, this brief poem by some dude called John Hughes:
The moon is a sickle to plunge out of the sky and pierce me down in my heart deep
I love the moon but that’s the fate of love for me
The earth calls upon the moon to harm me and put me down to my knees
"The moon is a sickle cell" is a line the Elliott Smith song "Coming Up Roses," which I don't think I've ever heard.
William,
And once again, you found another sync having to do with
the Nigredo ( sickle cell ).
A cell is also a place of incarceration, which as I've shared
many times, I believe
that when we are incarnated/incarcerated in this duality
SLOW gravity dimension, the high frequency vibrational
soul feels trapped, much
like a butterfly in a cocoon.
Of course a sickle is a harvesting tool, separating
the wheat from the tares.
I also found it interesting that even the link
you posted of Elliott Smith's album cover
perhaps? The photo looks like one person
is falling down and the other levitating up.
Perhaps symbolic of a beginning and an end?
And last but not least and yet another vague Nigredo
symbolism the second verse to the song Coming Up Roses:
The moon is a sickle cell
It'll kill you in time
Your cold white brother will ride in your blood
Like spun glass in sore eyes
And last but not least another interesting
reference to sore eyes, just like Big Cat
in the Hat whose hat and eyebrows
got red hot when big cat used his third
eye too much.
Coming up Roses' lyrics
also specify 'red' roses, although
I'm sure red is the most popular color for roses
so I'll give that one a 'coincidence',
Very interesting indeed
The crescent moon has been a symbol associated with "The Jew" in my story, who is Eowyn, and the book which she has, which I've guessed is the Book of the Lamb, contained on/ transmitted by the Ithil Stone.
Those words would be delivered to Faramir, via the Rose Stone, perhaps. I've guessed that he and this event are referred to by Jesus at Bountiful. In 3 Nephi 21, Jesus says that those who will not believe in his words which will be brought forth will be "cut off". Mormons have long interpreted this as referring to Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. My own belief is this refers to the Book of the Lamb:
"Therefore it shall come to pass that whosoever will not believe in my words, who am Jesus Christ, which the Father shall cause him to bring forth unto the Gentiles, and shall give unto him power that he shall bring them forth unto the Gentiles, (it shall be done even as Moses said) they shall be cut off from among my people who are of the covenant."
Going back to Bowling, Rolling Stones, etc., and the Rose Stone, those April 22, 2020 words spoken by who I think are the Seven Daughters, starts off seeming to reference Jesus' words above:
"Them to have power to bring forth my word
Eru as Christ the Lord
Good times to roll"
And thus a potential link between the Rose Stone, Ithil Stone, and the notion of something being "cut" - in this sense, all those who won't believe in the story and words that come from the "Moon".
By the way, I looked up the Five of Cups because I was sure you had brought it up before. It came up in your "Nine-to-Five" metaphor in your "Two Cups, Two Hearts" post, but I was interested to note that it came up before that in being associated with The Fool. In your "I pity the Five of Cups" post, you shared the comic of Mr. T saying he pitied the Five of Cups.
In my own symbolism, dreams, etc., Mr. T has seemed to represent Thingol-John.
Bill, check out that High Priestess, with a crescent moon at her feet, the Ithil Stone on her head, and the “Jewish book” par excellence in her hands.
The Moon is a bowling ball to split a rack of pins.
The High Priestess card is pretty good.
In this story, Eowyn ascended from this world, and so is symbolically 'high' relative to us. A High Priestess works in that sense. But also, in Mormon theology, the High Priest is a Melchizedek Priesthood office. This Priesthood was originally named the Holy Priesthood, after the order of the Son of God.
Rather than the Son of God in this particular instance being Jesus, I've guessed that this is Eonwe, who would eventually be incarnated as Faramir. Melchizedek himself would have been Elros, the first King of Numenor, and he would have been taught directly by Eonwe and the other Maia of that Order who were sent to those first Numenoreans.
So, it would be fitting to have Eonwe's spouse, Ilmare, who would later incarnate as Eowyn, represented as High Priestess, perhaps alluding to another Order entirely, which is what Joseph Smith seems to have wanted Emma to help with before he was murdered and Emma was left out of Brigham's movement.
One link that seems to directly connect Eowyn-Ilmare to this High Priestess card, at least Waite's version, comes from Daymon's story.
Waite apparently speculates that the High Priestess represented is Astarte. From one site:
"Waite himself considered his Priestess to be a nod to the Hellenistic goddess Astarte who was strongly associated with the moon."
I've guessed that Eowyn and Faramir were the Beings known as Izilba and Zhera' in Daymon's books. In his first book he describes a scene in which Izilba is compared to Astarte:
"Izilba leaped from the rude raft, and naked stood in the sea, as a vision of Astarte and Aphrodite, to Zhera' bewildering and bewitching, she rose and laughed..."
Further, Astarte is the goddess typically associated with horses, often represented as a warrior on horseback. Per a Wikipedia summary: "The only images identified with absolute certainty as Astarte are these depicting her as a combatant on horseback or in a chariot."
I've guessed that Eowyn ascended with the Ithil Stone with the same body/ person as depicted in LOTR. Therefore, as a woman and rider of Rohan, known for their horsemen. Rohan means "Horse Country", and more specifically, the name Eowyn is a real name in Old English that means something like "Horse Lover".
I wonder if there is a tie between her name, role as High Priestess, and the recent symbols of the Horsemen?
I guess the Lion is also a symbol of Astarte, potentially further tying this character/ symbol to "the Jew".
