Illusion turning into reality

This afternoon, I was reading Phantasia in a coffee shop and came to this passage:

When he gets out [of the water] he won't know if his thought about the woman had been, Please let me be free from this illusion, or if it was, Please let the illusion turn to reality, and who knows, maybe the two things end up being the same.

Minutes after I'd read that, a new song came on in the background music playing in the shop. It wasn't a song that I knew, but one line jumped out at me:

Illusion never changed into something real

I looked the song up later. It's called "Torn" and has been performed by lots of different singers. I think the version I heard was the one by Natalie Imbruglia.

Imbruglia's "Torn" has long been in my playlist, so in that sense I'm extremely familiar with it. The funny thing is the apartment in the music video is revealed to be a set, and Imbruglia and her apparent lover are merely acting.

OTOH, until now I'd had no idea Imbruglia's version was itself a cover (thanks, Wikipedia), so I gave the original two recordings a listen. The grunge of the Ednaswap version is refreshing; while Lis Sørensen's take is instrumentally closer to Imbruglia's, I find I relate to the Danish rewrite far more.

wow, these keep getting weirder. the other one was really incredible. also 'Imbruglia' means 'entangled' and 'Natalia' is related to nativity, so that Natalia Imbruglia could mean something like 'the birth of entanglement'. seems relevant.

I related that Tree-Hair dream from a couple days ago. That same morning I dreamed the word "Feint".

The definition is "a false show, assumed appearance", which would sync up with the concept of an illusion. I ended up making a connection with 2 Nephi 27, and Isaiah's words comparing those who fight against Zion with someone who wakes up from a dream having thought they ate or drank something, but realizing it wasn't real.

It wasn't until this morning, though, that I went back to read the specific scripture. The tie with "Feint" became even stronger when I noted that the homonym for Feint - Faint - is specifically mentioned in those verses:

"And all the nations that fight against Zion, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision; yea, it shall be unto them, even as unto a hungry man which dreameth, and behold he eateth but he awaketh and his soul is empty; or like unto a thirsty man which dreameth, and behold he drinketh but he awaketh and behold he is faint, and his soul hath appetite; yea, even so shall the multitude of all the nations be that fight against Mount Zion."

There are Ungoliant overtones with Illusion, of course, getting back to Mommy Fortuna from The Last Unicorn and her power with "illusions, deceptions, mirages".

But there also seems to me, even more so in reading 2 Nephi 27 yet again in this instance, that we have Joseph tie-ins as well, given that his title as Irmo is "Master of Visions and Dreams". One of the meanings of Vision pertains to things that aren't real (unreal meaning "visionary, not substantial, by appearance only).

On Natalia Imbruglia, you get a possible translation/ word game of "Nativity Confused", perhaps as a reference to the tangled and incorrect account we may currently have of Jesus.

As a follow-on to "Feint", the following morning (yesterday), I dreamed the word "Duration", followed by "Denu".

Duration is a word that can refer to time or how long something lasts, but its root word has to do with some thing that is substantial or hard: "be firm, solid, steadfast".

It seems like this was something like the opposite of illusion - something solid (since unreal, as mentioned above, can mean "not substantial", and thus not solid). Real vs. Unreal.

And also that what is real has duration or continues on - as in the word communicated both aspects of meaning.

"Denu" is an elvish word that means "hole, gap, passage".

Perhaps a reference to that which is real lying beyond or through that hole/ passage? Hard to say.

There was another dream following the Duration/ Denu words, in which I saw a book lying on my nightstand. Upon closer inspection, I saw the book title was "Be You, Be Happy", and then woke up.

Today, I thought I would do a search for that exact book title to see what came up - it sounded like some sort of self-help book would be in existence having this title.

The first and only exact match that came up for me was a book called "Be You Be Happy: Navigating The Path To Authentic Living and Lasting Happiness". (though plenty of books have the title flipped - "Be Happy, Be You", strangely).

It was a fairly remarkable subtitle to run into given I had left comments about a path (the hole/ passage) that led to something real. Authentic can mean "real, genuine", and also has another meaning of having authority or being duly authorized. So, taken more literally than the author intended, we have mention of how to navigate a path leading to some real way of living, vs a fake life.

I then noticed the authors' names: Kensington Gray and Andy Martinez.

Kensington refers to the King's City/ Town, and just looking at the King aspect of that name, we have The Grey King. I saw the name as having something to do with Thingol-John-Aragorn. Having identified that, I guessed that the second name would be Holy Ghost oriented. Andy simply means "Man, Man-like", but Martinez is a form of Martin, or Mars. Through various characters and references, Mars/ Red/ etc. has been explicitly linked with the Holy Ghost.

In 2 Nephi 31, Nephi teaches that after a person is baptized by water and the Holy Ghost (fire), they will then find themselves on the path to Eternal Life (Authentic Living and Lasting Happiness), and here we had two authors' names directly linked to the Beings most associated with those two forms of baptism - John and the Holy Ghost.

Even the title is Red and Blue, and when you click on the link, you specifically might find it interesting to note the predominant color scheme is turquoise. All the more interesting because the cover is totally a digital mess and itself a fake mess. The cover doesn't actually exist in that form since the book is only a Kindle/ electronic book.
