Tom Mouse, one of the "Dark Mice" in the 2021 post, is linked to the Egyptian god of the setting sun. The "Dark Rats" in the present post were derived from a reference to a rising star.

Dark Rats Rising
I've nearly finished Gary Lachman's book Dark Star Rising. Today I spontaneously noticed that star is an anagram of rats. "Dark Rats," specifically as an anagram of something else, made me think of my 2021 post "Mr. Icthus-oress, the Dark Mice, and why I do this," which featured "Dark Mice" as an anagram/spoonerism of the name of YouTuber Mark Dice. I recently posted about two mice -- Aesop's City Mouse and Country Mouse -- in "Gators, frogs, bathroom privacy, and the Heart Sutra." Just as this recent post's title begins with "Gators," the title of the 2021 post begins with "Mr. Icthus-oress" -- i.e., Ichthyosaurus, another predatory aquatic reptile.

William,
Part 1 of 2
And speaking of 3 blind Nigredo of Mice and Men, dark rising,
Canned Heat and Bullfrog BLUES and On the Road Again
and Going Up the Country ( from the city ) owls and
BLUE Alans and rising stars that didn't get fars, Oh My!
Check this out:
First, allow me to set the stage.
On my previous comment recall I shared the information
about the 1960-70's band Canned Heat who
also had connections to Laur-EL Canyon.
In my comment I linked the video of a Canned Heat's
live performance of their song Going Up the Country.
The singer and one of the founder's of Canned Heat
was ALAN ' Blind Owl' Wilson.
Being a Boomer, I of course remember Canned Heat
and I liked their songs Going Up the Country
and On the Road Again.
Canned Heat played at Woodstock, which
Woodstock was a big deal for the Boomers
as I'm sure you know.
My older sister, who was 16 in 1969,
had plans to go to Woodstock but the plans fell through.
My sister was a hippie girl, me not so much
as my bizarre paranormal experiences gave
me the mindset of thinking outside of the box,
even at an early age.
While others were taking mind alternating substances,
I didn't ever feel the need to, as all I had to do
was to go to sleep in order to 'take a trip' ;-))))
But getting back to Alan and Canned Heat.
As I commented on your Gator post about
the video Going Up the Country,
I personally 'felt' that singer was a bit different.
I also 'felt' by his facial features
that he was multiracial perhaps with
Native American blood and/or Nigredo
blood. Alan's plump lips was a clue.
As I was watching the video,
and especially where the image of a Nigredo
was superimposed on the video,
I thought that was very odd. Especially for that time
back in the day.
I've never seen that video before. I re-posted it below.
Starting at marker 0:45 note the Nigredo.
The Nigredo ( Dark Man rising ) image in the video
intrigued me so I did a bit of deep dive research into
Alan and lo and behold his life story was very intriguing.
This was yesterday 12/3.
William
Part 2
From the little research I did it appears
that Alan was extremely intelligent and felt awkward all
of his life.He was blind without his thick glasses and because
of his high intelligence and spending hours in the library
his bandmates called him Blind Owl. Which of course
an Owl 'sees' in the dark.
Alan didn't wear his glasses on stage.
Alan's biggest obsessive passion however was with the
BLUES genre and especially the Black Musicians of the 1940's
and 50's. Which is why I now believe the reason the Nigredo
image was in the Going Up the Country video.
Although my mother's generation was from that era ,
and my mother loved music, there
was rarely the Blues music played in
our house, although I was quite familiar
with the Blues being raised in West Dayton.
Alan and his best friend and co-founder
of Canned Heat, Bob Hite, wove
the Blues into Canned Heat's music.
Alan was a rising star who fell. He was found dead in
his VW camper van due to an overdose
( some say it was suicide) at age 27.
Alan joined the 27 club along with Hendrix, Joplin, Brian
Jones, Jim Morrison, Amy Winehouse.( see link )
So, the 2 Alans ( the gator and Canned Heat Alan)
'played' the Blues. The gator Alan certainly brought
the blues to those who feared him.
Canned Heat Alan was shy and timid like a mouse.
Both Alans lived in the 'dark' as do mice
as well as gators who ' hide' in deep waters.
Also and something I didn't
know until today from researching Canned Heat,
there is also a 1967 song by Canned Heat called
Bullfrog BLUES!!!
What's the odds??
I've never heard Bullfrog Blues song before, because
like I say I wasn't a big Canned Heat fan.
Check out the lyrics with reference to 'women'.
And last but not least, I'm sure you are aware
of John Steinbeck's 1937 novel Of Mice and Men.
In the 1992 film adaptation, note in the trailer
all the blue-gray. The story centering on
two men, George Milton (played by Gary Sinise)
and Lennie SMALL ( played by John Malkovich ).
Lennie Small. Small like a mouse. Lennie
was also, what was called 'slow', back in the day.
Also the rabbit significance in the movie
which of course a rabbit led Alice down the black hole.
Also I read the link to your Mr. Icthus-oress post,
and couldn't help but noticed where you wrote this:
" “Three Blind Mice” -- black men, and therefore dark mice
-- try to kill Bond in Dr. No.
The Nigredo once again, eh?
Dr. No could be Dr. KNOW, no?
Sync fairies be working overtime.
