And where is now Elijah's God?
He wades. He takes Elijah's hand,
And both now bow to the command
Of One Elijah dimly saw
And Joshua, beneath the Law.
All dimly did they see that One,
Those prophets over Jordan sent,
Till Jesus Christ appeared and underwent.
