Lady in Green

Today as I was reading an email, the old song “Greensleeves”
started playing in my head out of the blue. Since the email itself had to do with the “mental jukebox” phenomenon whereby messages are received in song form during a dreaming or hypnopompic state, I took note. My first thoughts were that, as the song is in a minor key and repeatedly references a “heart of gold,” it might tie in with “I’ve been A minor for a heart of gold.” One of the comments on that post even mentions a mental jukebox song, Sinatra’s “Luck Be A Lady Tonight.” Lady Luck, the 1940s comic book character, wears a green dress, a link to “Greensleeves.”

The email included a link to Leo’s December 2024 post “Baggu Kru,” which I revisited. One of the comments there, from Bill, ends with a mention of “Tom’s House,” meaning the Tolkien character Tom Bombadil.

This made me think of two things, First, Bombadil’s wife, Goldberry, is a possible tie-in with “Greensleeves.” When she first appears in The Lord of the Rings, “her gown was green, as green as young reeds.”

Second, the “Tom” reference reminded me that last night YouTube had cued up an unfamiliar Leonard Cohen song, the title of which I had misread as “It’s Tom.” In fact, the song is called “It’s Torn.”

Here’s the song:

The lyrics begin like this:

I see you in windows
That open so wide
There’s nothing beyond them
And no one inside

This made me think of a meme I’d seen a while back. I tracked it down and found that, no surprise, it features green women’s clothing:

William,
Part 1 of 2
At the risk of perhaps appearing 'repetitive " regarding
my over the top gazillion comments or commenting
on experiences that some might think can't be proven
I'm going to take that risk and comment about your Lady in Green,
post because it has significance to what just happened to me
yesterday ( April 19 ) and perhaps you may find it interesting.

As shared, I love antiques and retro clothing. Several years ago
I found a cool early 1960's Kelly Green raincoat on ebay.

Several days ago, I took the raincoat to the dry cleaners because
I noticed I had gotten a spot on the coat. As dry cleaners do
the clerk asked me if I knew what the stain was and I said
that I didn't, probably a food stain I said.

The dry cleaners texted me a day or so later to let me know
that my coat was ready to pick up. When I went back to pick up my coat
the same clerk said that they were able to get out the popcorn
stain, which I was inquisitive because I didn't mention to
the clerk that the stain was popcorn as I didn't know
what the stain was. So I responded' Popcorn?
She said, Oh, ok, that must have been another customer that
came in after you who said that.

So, I left not giving any more thought to it.

Yesterday I wore the coat to drive Marshall over to his sisters
house for Easter .Marshall laughed that I wore the coat
because it was really a beautiful and warm day ( 71 degrees).

However I wore the raincoat anyway thinking that it probably
was going to rain because I had one of my headaches that
I almost always get a day or so before a storm ( Barometric
pressure change).

While I was out I decided to do a bit of grocery shopping
at a store never Marshall's sister's house that Marshall and
I rarely go to because its about 45 minutes away.

I wore the Kelly Green coat inside the store thinking maybe
the store would have their air-conditioner on ( they didn't ).

I was at the deli counter waiting for my number to be called.
I pulled the number 11 ( as the line queue was served by numbers).

The store was packed with people because of Easter.
The deli clerk went about getting my order and for some odd reason
she bagged up and put my order on the counter in front
of another woman who was wearing a Kelly-green T shirt.
That woman was White and looked
nothing like me! She also was not wearing sunglasses
and I was.

The clerk caught her mistake and brought my
two packages to me and apologized. She then said
that she wondered why I had taken off my sunglasses.
The woman in the Kelly green t-shirt and I both laughed
and we both said to the clerk, it's because
we're both wearing the same color green!

I left the store not thinking anything else about it
when lo and behold you posted this today about
the Lady in the Green.
I immediately thought...' hmmm, that's odd.
so I googled
the word Kelly on etymology and found this:
copy and paste:( asterisks mine)
"In many cases Kelly is an anglicization of the Irish
surname Ó Ceallaigh (Irish pronunciation: [oː ˈcal̪ˠiː]),
which means "descendant of Ceallach", but it can also
mean ****warrior or fighter.****

The personal name Ceallach has been thought to mean
**** "bright-headed"**** but the current understanding
is that the name means "frequenting churches",
derived from the Irish ceall."
~~~~~
I found the mention of "bright headed" interesting because
of course, to be bright means to SHINE. To shine
in one's HEAD ( as opposed to bright hair) could possibly
mean : to be psychic as Hallorann in the 1980 movie, The Shinning
explained to Danny. ( see link )
I know I've shared this information a gazillion times
beforeabout the Shining Ones and in particular this clip
from The Shining, but and IMHO, to truly understand the
metaphysical it's imperative
to understand how everything is connected .
It's not a straight line or a one size fits all ( i.e
having to do with just one meaning)
I was actually not going to post on your blog as often
because I don't want to overstay my welcome.
If you've noticed I don't comment on your
posts if I feel I don't have anything to add to the topic.
However, as I've shared I believe that when
something happens
out of the ordinary, it's not a coincidence.
I would have never commented about my
Kelly-Green coat experience
if you'd hadn't posted today about the Lady in Green..
Interestingly in the illustration of the 'Lady in Green'
there are two ladies in green
( much like me and the lady at the deli counter ).
I believe that perhaps the Lady in Green sync
isn't for you but for me,
as I wouldn't have found the information about the etymology
of the word Kelly meaning 'bright head' if it wasn't for your post.
I absolutely believe that when we doubt ourselves( as I often do)
especially regarding our paranormal experiences
our soul crosses our path with something
to let us know that we're not wrong.
Also I found it interesting the photo you posted with the
green curtains blowing, and the words:' She's often with you
even when she's not' which mirrors most of what I've shared
a gazillion times regarding the intuition especially telepathy
which maybe these recent 'green syncs ' are just that.
Intuition flows like the water and the water is female.
P.S. I'm sending you a photo in your email
of the Kelly Green coat to 'prove'
I actually have one. ;--))))))
That’s amazing, Debbie. I actually had a precognitive hunch that someone would leave a comment saying they just happened to be dressed in green when they read this post.
If you zoom in on that Lady Luck comic book cover, you’ll see the green-clad heroine is described as “the masked deb who makes a four leaf clover mean poison ivy to crime.”
“Deb” is dated slang for a female gangster, originating as a clipped form of “debutante,” but it’s also a pretty in-your-face sync with your name!
William,
Just noticed that the illustration in the Lady Luck comic
shows two women wearing green, but the lady on the
sidewalk's green outfit is more of a blue-navy green
in the cyan family', at least that's how it looks
on my computer monitor. I noticed that the man driving
the car is wearing green.
By the way, no need to worry about overstaying your welcome. Mi casa es tu casa.
If I don’t always reply to all your comments, that doesn’t mean they’re not welcome. Like you, I only comment if I have something to add.
Interesting you should emphasize “Kelly” green. As I was writing this post, I thought of one of my students from a long time ago who sometimes dressed in green and who went by a double name: Kelly, followed by a distinctively Azerbaijani name. I recently had occasion to mention “Azure-by-Johnnies” on this blog in an unrelated context.
William,
WOW... 4 leaf clover ?
There's that number 4 again. 4 meaning the number
of Daleth the Door.
Also does that sign on the store ( where the woman
in the navy green outfit is standing in front of )
read: delicatessen??!???
If it does how very very very odd...!!!!
'Dem sync Fairies be real busy.
Wm Jas Tychonievich said...
What’s the significance of “delicatessen”?
By the way, the only other time I’ve mentioned “Greensleeves” on this blog, there was also a four leaf clover link.
William,
I just thought of another interesting point.
The deli clerk said to me that ( when she placed my
order in front of the other woman who was
wearing green) she wondered why I took my sunglasses off.
It just occurred to me that sunglasses block the light.
Perhaps the 'message' being : Don't block the light.
So...now, I'm trying to figure out the 'popcorn' connection..
Hit me up with your thoughts :-)))
Thank you for posting this and the Kelly connection with one
of your students.
Very intriguing indeed... .....
Oops, somehow I missed the “deli counter” in your story.
The email that occasioned the present post also included a link to this old post of mine, which includes sunglasses syncs:
Popcorn is a running metaphor for false religion around here. See, for example:
William,
Part 1 of 2
OH MY!!
I just read your link about the sunglasses on
your post : Well that didn't take long.
Thank you for linking it to me.
I couldn't believe all of My puzzle pieces there were
in that post dated Nov 9, 2023
As you know, Nov is actually the 11'th month
in the Georgian calendar which of course would be 11/19,
which are important numbers to me.
The first part of your post about the White man
about 50ish with white hair got my attention because
lo and behold it connects with the Kelly Green coat.
Here's why:
As I was walking towards the entrance in the parking lot
of Dorothy Lane Supermarket
( the name of the grocery store) a White man in his late 50's
early 60's, very nice looking man with white hair
and dressed nicely was coming out of the store
pushing a shopping cart with his groceries.
Dorothy Lane Market is very 'upscale'
(expensive) local grocery market as are the 2 wealthy
locations Dorothy Lane is located , as are the customers
( mostly White, but not all! ).
The man looked at me( wearing the Kelly green coat
and sunglasses) and immediately smiled. I was wearing
my sunglasses which meant he couldn't see my eyes
but I could see his.
My first thought was that maybe the man was smiling
thinking that wearing a coat on such a warm pretty day
was a bit unusual.
However it would be more of a smirk than a smile,
I thought.
I can't say he was flirting per se' but he continued looking
and smiling at me as he was walking towards me.
I thought that he perhaps he was parked
in the same section where I had parked.
We passed each other and I said hello and he responded hello.
I told Marshall about it later on that day.
Another interesting connection in your post was of course
all the number Fours!
44 being a master number.
Barack Obama was/ is the 44th POTUS.
Recall my many including my recent comment
and the links I sent about
the significance of the number 4, and my personal connection
to the number four, including the 40th parallel
north.
The 40 parallel north is a very powerful Ley Line
which the El's knew/know and they followed/follow
the 40 all around the world.
Also in the Georges Braque illustration of the sunglasses,
looks very similar to a black woman's breast, no?
The photo of the green curtain blowing in your post
Lady in Green also looks like a woman's breast,
perhaps more like a woman's green bra.
Also posted in your: Well that didn't take Long post,
the photo of the black backpack with the image
of the Braque-style sunglasses
also looks like black breasts. Perhaps those
8 mint bluish dots, piano keys?
Also you wrote:
"Capricorn Anderson, nicknamed "Cap,"
being arrested for driving without a license.
Cap was driving his grandmother, Rain,
to the hospital after she injured herself climbing a tree."
Your mention of rain caught my attention because the
Kelly Green coat is a raincoat.
You also mentioned that Cap was an **Eighth*** grader
at Claverage Middle School.
Recall my many comments as to Who are the Eights,
and that indeed , and I believe, that the Eights hold the 'key'
to this duality dimension.
You also wrote: " Something else I'd never noticed before:
One of the interior walls there is made to look like a blackboard
with D∞D written on it in chalk.
(It's a printed image, not actual chalk.)
D is the fourth letter, so DD = 44."
~~~~
Which brings us back home to the daleth.
Copy and paste:( asterisks mine)

"The Hebrew name for Deborah is
דבורה (D'vorah), which translates to "bee" in English
.
The name is also associated with the Hebrew verb
"dabar" which means "to speak".
In the Hebrew Bible, Deborah was a prophetess
and judge of pre-monarchic Israel.

"Bee":
The name means "bee" in Hebrew, which can
be interpreted as symbolizing wisdom,
strength, or a ***** fiery**** personality. "
~~~~~~
Fiery could also mean a 'rebel' personality to which I plead guilty.
And last but not least the grocery store ( Dorothy Lane Market )
has a green connection with Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz
and Emerald City.
All Rhodes lead to Rome, no?
Last week, I decided to start clearing up some leftover quests in early Elder Scrolls Online areas. One quest I went through yesterday was startlingly synchy -- the Bosmer (Wood Elves) aren't much my thing so I'd forgotten about this part of their lore -- and called to mind Bill's pairings (Joseph and Asenath, Izilba-Eowyn and Zhera/Jared-Faramir).
