Unless you're very new to this blog, you'll be very familiar with this meme by now. We're not through with it yet.
Although the opening pages of hand-illuminated manuscripts typically bear the heraldry of their commissioners, in this case the family coat of arms was supplanted by an imaginary emblem dedicating the codex to the sun. Indeed, as has been noted, the coat of arms is a meticulous copy of the opening miniature contained in the alchemical manuscript Aurora Consurgens. However, the motif was expanded for the Splendor Solis to take in the architectural surrounds as well. Here, the painter turned to a copper engraving by Hans Sebald Beham for inspiration.
Aurora Consurgens is attributed to St. Thomas Aquinas. This descripton of figures from the Aurora Consurgens confirms the connection:
1. A coat of arms is shown against a reddish purple background. A crowned metallic grey helmet with blue wreaths of stylised leaves, is set above a blue shield bearing the image of a yellow solar face. Above the helmet another sun is seen shining its beams upon the scene below.
This is a description of the Glasgow manuscript. The only one I have been able to find online is the Zürich manuscript, which doesn't include the coat of arms. It does have another potentially relevant illustration, though (I've included a modern redrawing, too, since the details are easier to see):
The griffin rider has a blue shield charged with a yellow sun with a face, like the shield in the Arma Artis. The lion rider has a shield charged with three crescents, like the three crescents above the crowned helmet in the Arma Artis. Why they have these shields is unclear. The lion is a solar symbol, and the rider has a sun for a head, but he has a lunar shield. The other rider is female and seems to have a moon for a head, and yet she is the one with the solar shield. I suppose it is just an example of the "unification of opposites" concept which is a major theme of that work.
As for Völlnagel's statement that the architectural elements in Arma Artis were inspired by Sebald Beham, no particular engraving of Beham's looks particularly similar to what we see in Arma Artis, so the inspiration must have been of a general sort. The arches on the left side of this picture of Mercury might be the sort of thing Völlnagel has in mind.

William,
Part 1 of 2
Interesting this post on alchemy.
I believe that alchemy is the foundation of the Sacred Sciences
which this duality dimension revolves around,
whether traditional religious institutions acknowledge that
fact or not.
The El's were/are masters ( and manipulators) of the Sacred
Science mysteries/ craft.
I believe that my soul used to be one of the El's aka the Lilies
having gained the Siddhis powers which I've shared about
the Siddhis powers a gazillion times on your blog.
Humans ( and yes that includes niggas) are more than our physical
bodies.
Which would perhaps explain why the A I generated
meme of the Schwarz-nigger wearing a black hat is running
OUT of the temple. The temple is earned light, and in order
to earn the light, we have to go through the dark.
.
Interesting why the surname of black/ Nigger is the focus
of the meme as opposed to the first name
Arnold which means the eagle power, eagle ruler.
Eagle sounds very much like EGO, at least to me.
Copy and paste regarding the calcination period (black ) of alchemy:
(asterisks mine, links below )
"Calcination, the first stage of spiritual alchemy,
is also known as the black stage.
The color black represents chaos, that which is hidden and buried,
and the material of the unconscious.
It also refers to the Materia Prima, which is the idea in
occult sciences that all matter in the universe
emerged from an original, primitive base.
Calcination refers to the burning of the Materia Prima
until it is transformed into ash.
In a spiritual sense, it refers to breaking with
our worldly attachments, ****the desire for status, wealth,
and the need to solidify our identity.****
It’s not to say these things are wrong,
but according to the process, the development of a higher level
of consciousness and the refinement of the spirit
is hindered by these attachment."
~~~~~~~
I asterisk's this point : ****the desire for status, wealth,
and the need to solidify our identity.**** because it makes my point
about the ego. The ego pleasures and protects
the physical body ONLY.
Although both are needed, the soul and the ego are somewhat
adversaries, because they both have a different goal.
We can't climb up the ladder to learn the content of that red book
until we prove ourselves worthy by releasing the ego.
We go dark every night in our REM sleep. It is through
the dark where we find the truth. The dark is absolutely
integral to our existence here. The Sun AND the Moon.
Both are Shining Ones.
Note in the illustrations of the battle between the sun and the moon,
the rider of the moon is Naked. We become naked when we
shed our 'armory i.e our cloak i.e. of our physical bodies.
I had a very intriguing dream many years ago ( in the late 1990's )
I titled : 'Gymnasium.
You William, knowing the etymology of words,
perhaps you can guess why I'm connecting my gymnasium
dream with what I've written here about the rider of the moon.
William
Ooops 3 parts!
Part 2
I DID NOT KNOW the connection of gymnasium
at the time of the dream, nor did I have at the time,
nor did I ever have... a gym membership,
which gym memberships were very trendy in the late 1990.
My last connection with a gymnasium
was in high school where ' gym' was a requirement.
I won't share the details of the dream perhaps at another time,
but I will say this: it's only been in the last several years
after researching an entirely different topic
did I stumble upon the symbolism of the gymnasium
which helped me understand the meaning of the dream.
Very interesting as I just thought about the gymnasium
dream now after writing about
those illustrations of the battle of the sun and moon you
just posted, so thank you for posting the illustrations.
Anywho, to continue:
I believe that All of humanity ( not just the El's )
possess the knowledge
of the Sacred Sciences, it's just that the Negative polarity
El's in this dimension
has strengthen our egos so as to prevent us from understanding
the power and purpose of this knowledge.
They do this to control the power.
The El's control all power sources in this duality dimension
with the help of us, and our egos.
The pillars represent duality
as does the Towers as does the Red King and White Queen.
The Chemical Wedding is the intercourse of the Red King
and White Queen 'producing' Rebis ( see link )
Copy and paste: ( asterisks mine)
"The Rebis (from the Latin res bina, meaning dual or double matter)
is**** the end **** product
of the alchemical magnum opus or great work.
After one has gone through the stages of
*** putrefaction and purification,***
separating opposing qualities, those qualities are united
once more in what is sometimes described
as the divine hermaphrodite,
a reconciliation of spirit and matter,
a being of both male and female qualities as indicated
by the male and female head within a single body.
The sun and moon correspond
to the male and female halves,
just as the Red King and White Queen are similarly associated."
William
Part 3
The American Negro ( specifically the Biracial/Mulatto)
was an alchemical experiment in opposites, which
Michael Jackson was symbolic of : E. Pluribus Unum ( see link )
The vesica piscis is also the intercourse of
the male/ female energy
producing the 'fish' which is the creation
of the union of the opposites.
For the El's i.e. Alchemist ,everything must have an ENDING.
A WHY. A big picture i.e. something that is Manifested/produced.
In alchemy the big picture 'earned' is The Philosophers Stone .
We are presented with the messages i.e puzzle pieces by our soul.
All messages are 'spoken' in the Universal Language
of symbolism, gematria/numbers and archetypes and we are given
the challenge to find the meaning of that language.
I also want to stress that I do NOT believe in anybody's everything,
and that includes old school religion AND New age cult.
I do believe in God as the most high of everything including
this dimension as I believe our Soul is connected to
God but I also believe we become separated from God
when we continue to succumb to our ego .
Our 'punishment being :
incarnating /incarceration here in this duality dimension,
the bitter sea.
Which it is in this bitter sea where the El's are at the helm
and IMO, it behooves us to know their playbook so that we can
transcend out of their illusion and be one with God .
IMHO ,we make that choice much like in the Netflix
series I shared titled : 1899. We are the passengers
who make the choice to jump back into the bitter sea.
Everything is connected.
Here's some of the El's playbook:
A correction, Debbie: the Reality Temple meme wasn't AI-generated. A reverse image search shows it dates back to 2020 at least, well before image or text generation models were widely available. If you're pointing to the Imgflip watermark, that site's meme-making tools require manual input and only allow use of pre-existing images.
You thought, Sun and Moon, sweet Nerevar, that I was only trolling, but now you have noticed in the image directly below the Sun are three crescent moons. Do not let the mongrel dogs of the empire deceive you, Nerevar, for when you come to this place, where destiny is made, you must lay down your Arma Artis and listen to the spokesmouth of truth, who wears the golden mask representing the Sun, and speaks the truth laid down by the Aldmer from the Elder Scroll. To do otherwise is to become an n'wah.
I looked up n’wah and found this post suggesting that the game creators may have been inspired by the term “n-word.”
https://www.reddit.com/r/Morrowind/comments/117ztf3/was_the_word_nwah_based_on_the_phrase_nword/
Based on the spelling, I would have pronounced it as a monosyllable, like “noir” without the hard r. You wrote “an n’wah,” though, which means it must be pronounced more like “en-wah,” with a vowel sound at the beginning. That does sound quite a lot like “n-word.”
Yep, it's "en-wah". The word means "foreigner" or "slave", and it can see a lot of use in-game. Much of Morrowind's primary race, the Dunmer (Dark Elves), are big on xenophobia and tradition, and the player character is an outlander. Also, some of the Dunmeri Great Houses keep slaves, favouring members of the Khajiit and Argonian races (cat- and lizard-people respectively). Notably, the player can join an abolitionist group called the Twin Lamps, part of their identifying phrase being, "They light the way to freedom."
Speaking of the Khajiit, an icon used for them in Elder Scrolls Online greatly resembles the three crescents on the lion rider's shield. The Khajiit revere the world's two moons, as their phases affect the form each Khajiit takes at birth; some of them can be very lion-like, such as the two types of Senche (the first article below includes a statue of a Senche-raht being ridden by a bipedal Khajiit), and the Mane is a special case. Khajiit see Azura[h] as a mother goddess, linking the cats and moons together, while Dunmer see her as a god-ancestor. Nerevar was said to be her champion, hence one of his names, "Moon-and-Star", as our Dagoth visitor used earlier.
I see a few interesting changes made in the modern riders illustration -- green added to the griffon and its back half is feathered; both creatures' tails are held up instead of underneath; and the lion doesn't have reins.
