Binaural beats can only be listened to on headphones, since the whole point is that each ear hears a slightly different frequency. According to WebMD:
A binaural beat is an illusion created by your brain when you listen to two tones with slightly different frequencies at the same time, one in each ear. Some early research suggests that listening to binaural beats can change your brainwaves.
Today I read Chapter12 in Ari Barak and the Free-Will Paradox by Shaul Behr. In this chapter, Rabbi Tuvia White (i.e., Rabbi T. White, the white rabbit) explains how he developed what he calls the Stream Engine. This is a device that looks exactly like a pair of headphones. However, when you put it on, instead of hearing anything, you find yourself able to see things that would ordinarily be invisible -- you can see into the past and future, directly see others exercising their free will, and probably other things that haven't come into the story yet. Rabbi White -- who was Dr. White, a neurologist, before converting to Judaism as a result of his experiences with the Stream Engine -- developed his device by studying the brainwaves of people undergoing near-death experiences, discovering "the NDE wave form," and inventing a device to "artificially simulate those patterns in a live subject."
Again, Rabbi White's "headphones" don't actually produce any sound and are thus not making use of binaural-beat technology. However, that is a known way of changing brainwaves via headphones, so it's hard to imagine it had no role in inspiring Rabbi Behr's idea.
The "blueface" sync theme was started by the music video for "Free Will Paradox." The Gateway Tapes entered the sync stream because of an /x/ thread which had a blueface image on a post about the tapes.
That post isn't just about The Gateway Tapes; it's a link to free (pirated) copies of them. It seems as if the sync fairies are trying to tell me to give binaural beats a try. (Any input, Debbie? I know you have some Monroe experience.)
Incidentally, Tuvia is a form of the name Tobit, a figure from the deuterocanonical book of that name whose blindness is miraculously healed by the archangel Raphael.

William,

Here's my comment:
William,
In 2005 when I went through the 5day
Gateway Program at The Monroe Institute
in Charlottsville VA.
Everyday we had sessions where we went to our
'' CHEC (Controlled Holistic Environmental Chamber)
unit which can be seen at marker/frame
starting about 1:15--1:18 in the video below.
Each CHEC unit was enclosed and blackened out
with curtains. This is the same unit that we
slept in as well. Wearing headphones, binaural beat
music was pipped into each CHEC, for several hours
while we slept. After that session, we all gathered
downstairs to discuss what happened.
There was always a big bowl of candy after those
sessions as the facilitators told us that sugar grounds
the physical body to earth, and when we go
out of body, we need to get back. obviously.
They didn't say this, but I've come to believe
that the facilitators were right because it would explain,
at least to me, why the 'Hidden Hand' through
corporations, inundate our food supply with sugar.
The Hidden Hand don't want us to raise our frequency.
I personally don't recall any major dreams that I had
during those sessions. As I've previously shared
I started having paranormal dreams starting
at age 10 and in 2002 after my mother Mary
passed over into spirit, the dreams ( especially
the premotion dreams ) became more frequent
and intense, which is why I went to Monroe
in May of 2005. I was looking for answers.
l felt as if I was going crazy.
As I've shared, Skip Atwater was there
and I do believe there were people from the
military looking for
Remote Viewing recruits as we had several
sessions (in our class room sessions)
where they gave us remote viewing tests.
And no, I didn't 'pass' any of the remote viewing
tests although as I shared before about
my dream in 1990 which came tragically
true in 1995, I'm absolutely convinced now
that experience was both a premonition as
well as a remote viewing experience.
I think for me my psychic ability just comes
to me. I don't conjure it up. I don't meditate,
I don't eat certain foods or take mind altering substances,
or study one particular subject.
I do however crave sweets especially in the last
10 years or so, and I think it's because( and just
like the facilitators at Monroe said about sugar:)
Sugar grounds me.
This theory about sugar is also hidden in
the 2015 movie Tomorrowland with
George Clooney.
My dreams ( many times premonition )
or telepathic experience or clairaudience
experience or synchronicity experience
just come to me
and afterwards I do the research of the symbolism
to find the meaning
and the why of the message given.
I believe that it is so Very imperative to find
the Why of all of the paranormal messages
we are given, because it solves the puzzle,
and when we solve the puzzle, I believe,
it becomes our truth which in turn
balances us from the heavy chaos of uncertainty.
Our soul's goal each incarnation is to find the balance.
We ALL have this psychic ability, not just me.
The difference is most people have forgotten
the Universal Language.
Here is the Monroe introduction video.
Do note that I'm not at all New Agey as these folks
in this video.;-)))
Many of the people at Monroe when
I was there ( people from
all over the world) were not New Agey either.
Some were Bankers, Stock Brokers, muti-millionaires
Teachers and I suspect Military, males and females.
There was a young group mostly females
from Asia whom I kinda 'hung out with', Scotland
Canada and many other countries. I was the only
person of color there at that particular time.

The Gateway Tapes is such an interesting name in and of itself. A Gateway is at the heart of the matter in my imagination, specifically in thinking about Stones and the Book of the Lamb. Nephi, for example, spoke of entering onto the path via entering a Gate, and was concerned that his readers would know "the gate by which you should enter".
A Tape can refer to a Recording (or a Record), which makes complete sense here. However, it can be looked at differently which builds on that and ties to other things you have mentioned. According to Etymonline, the word originally referred to a narrow piece of cloth, and likely came from the word meaning "Carpet". In your "A Whole New World" post you brought up that song from the Disney movie, in which the scene and the lyrics prominently feature a 'magic carpet ride'. Cloth itself has come up in relation to the "Warp and Woof" of this universe, the means by which people will be gathered or brought extremely far distances from our world. In harmony with that connection, the word Carpet is further thought to come from the Latin root "kerpe", which means "to gather, pluck, harvest".
Continuing on, you specifically mention not the original Gateway Tapes, but the pirated version. Pirate can be a verb meaning to "rob on the high seas", which I think is relevant since theft and the high seas plays a role in this story. But how you used the term based on the definition "appropriate and reproduce the literary or artistic work of another without right or permission; infringe on the copyright of another" is a pretty direct hit.
Nephi writes of the GAC pirating the Book of the Lamb, and making critical changes in the process. It is this pirated book the Gentiles carry with them on the high seas, and which enables them to become pirates themselves, taking for themselves a land that has been promised and given to others (Israel). The words of Jesus in 3 Nephi 20 build on Nephi's vision and fate of those Gentiles.
Also, I can't help but see the title "Free Will Paradox" as a reference to a name. "Free Willy", referring to the pied Orca, was a thing at one point. Paradox is something that now is used more to describe something that can't be (an illogical conclusion), but originally referred to statements, beliefs, events that were contrary to common belief or expectation, as well as fantastical and "seemingly absurd yet really true".
I also thought of "Free Will Paradox" as the paradox of (a person called) Will being free when, logically, he shouldn't be. In fact, it made me think of these lines from Yes and No:
But how is it you are unjailed?
Can hell's security have failed?
