Ah, the famous geishas of Panama!

One runs into some pretty strange branding around these parts. Panama Geisha coffee from Taichung, Taiwan.

If you asked a Panamanian, "¿Has oído hablar de los palíndromos ingleses?" he might reply:

"¡Ah, sí! e.g., A man, a plan, a canal -- Panama geisha."

That's a phonetic palindrome in Chinese: "Panamanian geisha, take the mnemonic code!"

"The words starts with M."

"M or N?"

"M for mnemonic."

My mnemonic for “mnemonic” is that it helps le capitaine Nemo remember the old days, when he was just M. Nemo.

It was very important to le capitaine to remember his life before his nautical career. He could often be heard invoking the mother-muse of Memory, singing softly to himself, “Should auld acquaintance be forgot / and M. Nemo syne?”

What with this and the nutmegs, I think I’m going to have to reread that novel.

His other favorite song was also Scottish: “And I would sail ten thousand leagues / And I would sail ten thousand more . . .”

I thought I knew every obscure dinosaur, but it turns out that — yeah, actually, I do, because that one’s made up!
