Amber sun

Just putting this out there, since both the name Amber and the sun have been in the sync-stream.

Yesterday, the preschoolers acted out a Chinese legend associated with the upcoming Moon Festival: the story of how one day ten suns rose in the sky, and the great archer Houyi saved humanity by shooting down nine of them. Ten kids played the roles of the suns, each one's costume consisting of a large crayon drawing of the sun (all kinds of colors, though regrettably not blue) they had drawn, cut out, and taped to the front of their shirts.

After the play was over and the costumes had been removed, one girl who hadn't been in the play took one of the sun drawings, taped it to her own shirt, and showed it to me. Her surname (which comes first in a Chinese name) is Yang, pronounced exactly the same as the second element in taiyang "sun." I said, in Chinese, "Look at that. Yang so-and-so has become Tai-yang so-and-so," saying her full Chinese name.

I think that's the first time I've ever used any of those kids' Chinese names. As their English teacher, I always address them by their English names. Miss Yang's English name is Amber.

People dressing up like suns reminds me of somebody...

As does the association with amber, or the sperm whale intestine secretions. Ahab's talus bones would have been part of the ambergris produced by Moby Dick after he ate his leg (I guess the bones and other hard material form the ambergris since they aren't digestible).

That specific ambergris, or Ahab's leg, has been compared to a missing Tale/ Tail, perhaps tying to my dream words of the Salmarillion 'lacuna', or missing story elements. Would fit with the fact that "swallow" was part of that phrase (Salmarillion swallow lacuna), just like Moby Dick swallowed Ahab's leg, including his talus bones.

I think you also tied Amber with blue-green, correct, and thus potentially a blue-green crystal ball?

In other analogies, as we have seen with Rolling Stones and even with The Big Lebowski and colorful bowling balls, the Stones roll, thus potentially connecting your phrase of "roll another joint" to the analogy of Captain Ahab, his missing "tale", and the ambergris comprising that tale (his foot bones), as ball or rolling stone. In bowling specifically, the balls are rolled to literally get to a "point", or a set of pins. The root word for Pin means "jutting point or peak"

The dream you just had of the 14kg dumbbell would reinforce the Stone reference or that we might be looking for that interpretation in some of these things, since we've noted before that lines up exactly with the 30 pound weight the Rose Stone is said to be.

I made some of those connections, too. I'd always pronounced talus with a short a until Wikipedia set me straight. The standard pronunciation sounds like "tale" plus a Latin suffix.

The notion of a point being tied to a peak, and has me thinking I'll share this dream from this morning. May tie in tangentially, since in looking some things up I realized for the first time that the word "walk" comes from Old English words that mean "to roll". I;ve spent so much time writing and thinking about this Walk I imagine a bunch of people go on to another place and I hadn't directly connected the word to Roll, Rolling Stones, etc. (at least that I can remember).

In the dream, I was sitting on a bench working on my computer. There was a gathering happening across something like a plaza from me, and it seemed work related, though like a party. This was further reinforced when the executive assistant of my work colleague in real life walked up to me. She was clearly wondering why I was sitting by myself and hadn't yet joined the gathering that was going on, since everyone was having a good time.

"You've done one city walk, you've done them all, huh?", she started out with. I replied that I would join the group, but I was just finishing up some work. This work seemed to involve me typing things out on my computer, because that is what I went back to doing.

She then got my attention again and said, "Anything you want to discuss on mini?", and I instantly woke up.

"Mini" was meant to be an Elvish word, I think. It means tower, and is from the root Min which also means "Peak". The concept of both a mountain peak and a tower has come up plenty on my end, and I've associated it with "Home", or Tirion.

In hindsight, I took her question to mean is there anything I'd like to talk about at that tower/ that place.

This would jive with the notion of a "City walk" (or I guess also a "roll", since that is what walk comes from). In thinking more about it, I associated the phrase with Enoch and his "City". Enoch was both said to walk with God, and his whole city - Zion - was taken, and perhaps presumably also went on a Walk. The executive assistant's phrase suggested that the gathering or City Walk in my dream was not the first one that has happened,

The identity of the executive assistant was interesting for two reasons. First, her name means "Lady of the Wine Hill", and the Tower or home in question I've associated with vineyards (perhaps the same place from which Jesus brought his wind to those at Bountiful), and we have a reference to a "Lady" overall. Second, she is assistant to a man whose name is John B. (last name abbreviated to protect the innocent/ not-crazy). John B can be an abbreviation of John the Baptist, and has shown up in other forms in my words like Johnny Baracus, an invented name that I believed was intended to tie the Baptist with Mr. T from the A-Team (the T potentially standing for Thingol, was my thinking).

One of my friends in my teens (the son of Mr. Graff from the FBI) had the trademark catchphrase "Let's walk and stroll!" instead of "Let's rock and roll!" And of course "The Rolling Stones" is an anagram/near-spoonerism of "The Strolling Ones."

Is your colleague in sales? Does his boss ever tell him to get out there and hoist up the John B sales?
