Tom Petty death sync

I was listening to some music, mostly New Wave kind of stuff, when I suddenly wanted to listen to something entirely different: "You Don't Know How It Feels" by Tom Petty. I put it on on YouTube and watched the video, too.

At one point, Tom was singing "You don't know how it feels to be me" as a human -shaped target behind him took a bullet. I'd seen the video before, but this time the imagery struck me as an omen, and I had a sudden hunch that if I searched for Petty's name right that minute, I would find breaking news of his death.

I ran the search and found out that Petty had actually died eight years ago. I was interested to see, though, that it was exactly eight years ago. Tom Petty died in California on October 2, 2017. It was a few minutes into October 3 here in Taiwan that I had my hunch, but it's still the 2nd in California.

Note added (October 4, 7:30 p.m.): In the comments on this post, I mentioned a dog who walked into my school shortly after it opened, whom I named Lola. Today I opened up Google Photos and found a photo of Lola right at the top. The day she showed up was October 12, 2017, just ten days after Tom Petty died.

She was a cute little pup. Fortunately, we managed to find a home for her with a family that loves her very much.

William,
Interestingly I had my tulip dream on Oct 3, 2021.

I wikied Tom Petty and found the titles of several of his songs
to be quite interesting: Here are a few that caught
my attention:
copy and paste:
"American Girl" (1976), "Refugee" (1980), "The Waiting" (1981),
"Don't Come Around Here No More" (1985)
and "Learning to Fly" (1991).

Petty's solo hits include "I Won't Back Down" (1989),
"Free Fallin'" (1989), and "You Don't Know How It Feels".
~~~~~~~
Many times , especially lately when I am ghosted
by friends and family and scrubbed on my youtube comments,
I do feel "petty," having the sense that my alternative
perspectives are of little importance.
I recently had several VERY odd sync experiences regarding
the name Lola.
What happened is the name Lola appeared in
two different movies which both movies I randomly
chose to watch and hadn't seen before. One of the movies is
a 2004 movie titled : After the Sunset.
In that movie a very very odd connection
was with an 1899 painting of Paul Gauguin's
work titled :Two Tahitian Women.
In the After the Sunset movie one of the
main characters is a female
named Lola.
Lola and behold when I wikied the word/name
Lola, I found this:
"Lola *****(Tajik for tulip)****
is also a feminine name in Uzbekistan,
Tajikistan, and Afghanistan.
It is derived from the Persian لاله or lâleh."
~~~~~~~~~
I even found this very interesting information
( link below )
regarding tulips and King Solomon
which Solomon has been in the sync stream of
late and a subject I have commented
on several times. King Solomon
having connection to the Second Temple.
copy and paste:
"We had good rains this winter
and they have left a bequest of green.

The Sharon Valley is dotted with tulips
and narcissus – “I am the Rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.”
It is believed that King Solomon
was referring to the magnificent ****black tulips****
of the Galilee. "
~~~~~~~
Also interestingly , the rose ( Rosicrucian),
the lily ( L, and Suzy ) and the tulip
are all flowers I have commented on
a gazillion times because I have many
puzzle pieces for them.
Tulips and lilies especially being symbolic of spring,
a 'new' beginning.
What's the odds?????
When I first opened my school, in 2017, a young female dog walked in, sat under my desk, and refused to leave. I named her Lola and eventually found a good home for her.
A couple of nights ago, I dreamt the phrase "flos scampi." That's "flos campi" (how the Rose of Sharon is rendered in the Latin Vulgate), with the second word changed into a tasty crustacean.
Waite specified that the roses on his Magician card represent the "flos campi," quoting the Latin even though it is the English that calls it a rose.
William,
All I can say is WOW. Absolutely unbelievable.
I was going to ask you if you've had any Lola syncs,
but decided against it.
There has been yet another Lola connection ( in addition
to the 2004 movie After the Sunset that I saw a couple
of days ago.
The latest Lola sync is in a NEW Netflix series
I watched just last night
and was just released Sept 19 titled: Billionaire Bunker.
Lola and behold a very significant part of that
Neflix series involves a reference to Lola.
I couldn't believe it when I saw it.
It's an unusual name. I don't think I've ever met or heard of a real person named Lola.
That Tom Petty song is from the album Wildflowers. That's the literal meaning of "flos campi."
William,
Actually ( and this is REALLY odd ) is that one of my
mother's ( my mother's name was Mary ) best friend's
name was Lola.
I haven't seen Ms. Lola in years after my mother
passed over in 2002.
I provided the link below to show
that I'm not making this stuff up.;-)
The title character in the Kinks song."Lola" "walks like a lady and talks like a man." The Tom Petty video has a woman lip-synching to Tom's voice.
William,
Low and behold Marshall just reminded me
of his inheritance of his PA acreage in the
Marcellus Shale oil and gas.
Guess the name of the company
that pays the royalties???
I was a huge fan of Tom Petty back in high school and college. I remember in 1989, his album Full Moon Fever was the only music worth buying at the time. Everything else was rap or hip hop (which I didn't care for).
This month, I've often had his songs come to mind during my quieter moments, especially the songs, You don't know how it feels, Two Gunslingers, and Crawling Back to You. This coincides with your posts, which I didn't see until today.
If you read about his life, Tom Petty is an icon of the modern man. Nominally chivalrous and polite, but inwardly cynical and tough as nails. Deeply disappointed, but secretly cherishing the small joys in life. Beat down, but not defeated. Quietly suffering, but always hoping.
