Nazi dolphins

A recent piece in the Bee shows a dolphin with a swastika on it and the ungrammatical graffiti “DIE NAZI.” (How many Nazis? Singular! Der Nazi! Now write it out a hundred times, and if it’s not done by sunrise, I’ll cut your balls off.)

I was writing about the Nazi-dolphin connection way back in 2021.

It looks like even back in 2021 you had written about or foreshadowed Shrek / an Ogre.

In a posts earlier this week, you had already connected dolphins with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Mandril, and those symbols to an Ogre, specifically Shrek.

I didn't know until I clicked on this link to the 2021 post that Orcas are dolphins, and thus you have a direct link between Orcs and Dolphins as well that you spelled out there.

Etymonline leads off the definition of Orc simply as "Ogre, Devouring Monster".

So there you have Shrek, and thus also a really nice clue to the riddle of the Orca, or at least one of those pied animals, in some of our earlier posts and links. Remember "Free Willy"?

A tangential comment to follow up with perhaps, but since we've determined that Orcas are Ogres, I realized that Mike Myers played Shrek with a Scottish accent. This seemed oddly relevant given how much Gaelic has come up in various ways and settings.

And, of course, there is the name Mike Myers as well that seems to be another casting clue in this story. We have Michael, followed by Myers which can mean "Head Servant" or "Mayor", which I think is relevant. However, interestingly it can also directly mean "Marsh" (as in Mire), giving us another direct hit for our swampy character.

And, come to think of it, Mike Myers also played the role of Dr. Evil. We last referenced Dr. Evil holding that cat named Mr. Bigglesworth, who as a Sphynx cat was linked to the Mandril-Flying Lion symbol.

In posts from awhile ago, Dr. Evil was linked to Bezos and his Blue Origin rocket with that giant Black Feather on it like the one dropped off at your door.

That’s rather funny to think of people all in black marching with “Die Nazis” signs, literally meaning “the Nazis” and referring to self.

Koko the monkey with no tail

This morning I read the 1985 book Koko's Kitten  to some preschoolers. Koko was a gorilla who had been taught sign language, and the kit...
