The red and blue jackals and the Winter Triangle

Over at The Magician's Table, I discuss the possibility that the two jackals on the Moon card are Sirius and Procyon (or possibly the modern Blue Sirius and the ancient Red Sirius), and that the "moon" itself is Betelgeuse.
