Cyan, as a name for the color between blue and green, seemed potentially significant in connection with the Blue-Green Abelard. In the Charles Williams novel The Place of the Lion, you will recall, there is a pterodactyl of which one the characters feels that "in some way it was Abelard. It was Abelard."
The parents of the birthday boy had decorated the house with a dinosaur theme, including this display of balloons:
Only one of the balloons is yellow (see "Caster and the yellow balloon"), and it, also uniquely, is decorated with a blue-green pterodactyl. Also, oddly given the dinosaur theme, several of the balloons have a black and white "cow" pattern, calling to mind "Roman literature and the Cow Tools dancers," in which I dreamt of dancers dressed like this guy:
One of the other guests at the party was wearing this shirt (I found the photo online later):
Under the large words in the center (“Superb Brewed”), it says “ENJOY AROMATIC AMDER.” I noticed this because one of my sisters sometimes used to be called Amder, due to the fact that when she was little she often wrote her name with a backwards b.
Later the same day, I went for the first time to a store that sells water coolers, softeners, filters, and so on. All the walls and furniture were painted blue-green. This product caught my eye:
The product is called Amberlite, and on the bag is a warning to keep it away from “ill-smelling articles.” So that’s two Amber-based names, each juxtaposed with the color cyan and a reference to smells.
Amber in the modern sense is yellow-orange in color and has no smell associated with it, but the word originally referred to an excretion of the sperm whale, ill-smelling when fresh but becoming aromatic over time. Later, when the same word was applied to fossilized tree resin, the whale product was qualified as “gray amber” (whence ambergris), in contrast to this new “yellow amber.”
Of all the spectral colors, cyan is perceptually closest to gray. Some people, including both my father and my wife, while not in any physical sense colorblind, are unable to distinguish cyan/teal from gray.
Back in December, I posted “The gray and amber Wheel of Fortune card,” juxtaposing the colors of the two types of amber and linking gray to blue.

William,
And out of the Blue, Orange you glad you saw the sun?
Perhaps the sync fairies pointed you towards the written
message on the cover of the magazine Cyan :
Just the way you are.
Gotta give it to the sync fairies, 'dey be busy'
hiding things in plain sight, no?
However not hidden to those who can see..
Check out this video ( link below )
Barry White - Just The Way You Are ( note the blue-green
and the Shinning lights.
Barry (the grape/WINE) White , is also the Nigredo delivering
the message. In the song there is also the 'blowing' of
a horn.
Recall I've commented many times about my Feb 2015
Where's My Horn? dream. I only mention my horn dream
again because of your recent post about blow(ing).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWHkxqPfWQU
William,
Also note Barry White's reflection in the piano,
perhaps symbolic of duality ( 22).
Also, interestingly the minutes of this video 4:11
'Dem L's (EL) be busy too.
Perhaps they're one and the same?
William,
One last point about the Barry White video and perhaps
the connection with your sync. In the lyrics
Just the Way You are
( which was originally sung and written by Billy Joel )
note the mention of not working hard, which reminded
me of your recent lazy lion posts)
IMO, the lyrics and also the wording
on the Cyan magazine cover ( Just
the way you are) suggests that both
messages are one of staying true to ourselves,
i.e. to know and believe in ourselves.
Copy and paste: ( link below)
"The principal meaning of the phrase in its original
application was "know your limits" –
either in the sense of knowing the extent of one's abilities,
knowing one's place in the world, or knowing oneself.
In the 4th century BC, however, the maxim was drastically
re-interpreted by Plato, who understood it to mean,
broadly speaking, "know your soul"..
~~~~~~~~
My personal perspective ( much like Plato it seems)
is to know and stay true to our soul.
In the lyrics :" I don't want clever conversation
I never want to work that hard" suggests,
at least to me, this:
Although some people may equate not working
hard with being physically lazy, my perspective and
it appears may be in the context of this song is this:
if something is known and shown by our soul , it's not
complicated, nor should it be doubtful or cause tension
within ourselves.
Dreams, and synchronicity events 'come to us' out
of the blue. And while I would agree the gazillion hours
of research ( from a vast spectrum of ideologies )
that is required in order to connect the dots
( puzzle pieces ) takes time and effort and
critical thinking to understand the meaning,
however, at least to me, it's fascinating and worth
the trip down the rabbit hole,
because when we come up on the other
side, we have transformed and growth
especially spiritual growth is always
the objective of the soul.
I believe that when knowledge is from the soul it's
not complicated nor should it be intellectual'ized
or rationalized or fearful.
Fear is ego based and occurs when we
don't understand something. The soul
'speaks' to us in the Universal Language
which most people don't understand the language,
which is why many people believe dreams
or paranormal experiences to be demonic.
Anytime we have to fight something, and IMHO,
that something is usually ego based.
Here are the lyrics: ( asterisks mine)
Don't go changing to try and please me
You never let me down before, mmm
Don't imagine you're too familiar
And I don't see you anymore
I would not leave you in times of trouble
We never could have come this far, mmm
I took the good times, I'll take the bad times
I'll take you just the way you are
Don't go trying some new fashion
Don't change the color of your hair, mmm
You always have my unspoken passion
Although I might not seem to care
****I don't want clever conversation
I never want to work that hard, mmm
I just want someone that I can talk to
I want you just the way you are
I need to know that you will always be
The same old someone that I knew
Oh, but what will it take till you believe in me
The way that I believe in you?
I said I love you, that's forever
And this I promise from the heart, mmm
I couldn't love you any better
I love you just the way you are,
William,
Also I forgot to add
that I just found this Barry White video today ( May 26)
because the wording on the magazine Cyan cover ,
Just the Way you are.
Of course I knew of Barry White's music from back in the day,
and liked some of his songs, but I wasn't a big Barry White
fan. I was also aware of and like the song
'Just the Way You Are, by
Billy Joel ( I was never a Billy Joel fan either) but I had
forgotten that Barry White did a cover of Joel's song.
When I searched in youtube ' Just the Way you Are, and
saw the Barry White version, I decided to click on
Barry White's version instead of Billy Joel's
and indeed I was VERY surprised
to see all of the blue-green and of course I immediately
thought ; hmmmm what's the odds?
Just to let you know that I don't recall seeing
this Barry White video before. Perhaps way back in the day,
but certainly not in the last 25 years or so.
'Dem sync fairies be real busy, no?
William,
Sorry for all these gazillion comments, but
just one more thought regarding the Cyan cover.
The model ( with streaks of amber/copper/red
in her hair) is interesting as is the 'turtleneck
she's wearing)
Copy and paste: ( asterisks mine)
"Turtles are frequently depicted in popular culture as
***easygoing, patient, and wise*** creatures.
Due to their long lifespan,
***slow movement, sturdiness, and wrinkled appearance,
they are an emblem of longevity and stability
in many cultures around the world.
Around the world the tortoise and/or turtle
can be seen as a symbol of wisdom and knowledge,
and is ****able to defend itself on its own.***
It can be regarded as personifying water, the moon,
the Earth, time, immortality, and fertility."
~~~~~~
And this:
Copy and paste ( link below )
Its (tortoise) ability to endure and adapt to its environment
has made it a revered symbol of
**** resilience and strength.****
The ancient wisdom embodied by the tortoise resonates
across cultures and civilizations. In many ancient societies,
including those in East Asia, the tortoise was revered
as a creature with ****deep spiritual insights and profound
knowledge.
Its ***slow and deliberate movements were seen
as a reflection of a patient and contemplative nature.
Observing the tortoise's behavior in nature,
ancient philosophers and sages drew parallels
to the importance of ***patience, introspection,
and the accumulation of knowledge over time.**
~~~~~~~
I only make mention of the model's turtleneck because on
the cover of the magazine it shows it was published in
the summer?
Turtlenecks at least in the West ( North
America) are usually worn in the winter.
I think the Sperm Whale and its intestinal secretions (ambergris) have to be relevant here, as is the connection to the blue-green abelard.
Whales/ Wales came up for both of us at times in our blog, and Sperm Whales specifically. In my writing, this took the form of Moby Dick.
This was first and primarily done through the medium of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Khan was a Captain Ahab-quoting individual intent on revenge against Kirk, and thus symbolic of Ahab himself. He also had his copy of Moby Dick on the bookshelf posted prominently right beside Paradise Lost and Paradise Regained. I would go on to link Khan and Kirk to individuals or symbols in my own story, which is probably relevant as well.
This is potentially where the ambergris comes into play. Ahab wanted revenge for the loss of his leg to Moby Dick, which the whale had eaten. Ambergris is from the whale's intestines, and can, I think, not irrationally be linked to Ahab's leg passing through those intestines. Sea captains, like Ungoliant herself, can be down a leg or two on their usual count, I guess.
Speaking of spiders, Ahab is a name that means "Father's brother" or what we would call Uncle. Remember that Sesame Street video you shared with the blue guy named Uncle Jay (seemingly a callout to the blue-clad Jay Leno), which didn't make sense because the message was from Aunt Freida (but completely does if Ant Freida)? I had taken Uncle and turned it into Ungol, strangely, which means spider and is the basis for Ungoliant.
You wouldn't remember, but in my Wrath of Khan exploration, I had also looked at the name of Khan's ship, The Reliant. Back then I noted that the Reliant was a potential Elvish play on words/ double meaning that referred to a spider. Ril-iante, which gives us "Spider's Light". Either a reference to
a false light or to the Light that Ungoliant stole from the Two Trees (or perhaps both).
Amber is fossilized tree resin, and in our world, if a tree was sucked dry by a vampire spider, I imagine this would include both its resin as well as its sap. In fact, in Tolkien's account, Melkor speared the Trees, and their sap flowed out which Ungoliant drank. She then latched onto the wounds in the trees and drank from them. Resin is something that trees specifically produce in response to damage or injury, and so would be associated with the wounds that Ungoliant drank from.
Ant and Ungol. Clever. Apparently Tolkien couldn't make up his mind which element of the name Ungoliant meant "spider," so Eldamo lists both "ungol" and "liante" with that meaning.
Galahad Eridanus just posted on blue-green ambiguity:
"You don’t consider blue and green different colors because they look different. You classify them this way because they mean different things. And it is possible, and indeed probable, that this amplifies the apparent difference. In some languages, colors that are distinct in English are colexified. A common example is Vietnamese which uses a single word for both green and blue. You simply qualify the word or rely on context to make it clear which hue you actually mean."
When I got Covid for the first time, I had a pretty bad case that lasted a full 2 weeks. I lost my sense of smell and taste completely for quite a long time. Taste came back, smell still mostly eludes me. However, I had come to appreciate the benefits of a lack of smell. In fact, I had come to prefer it. Public restrooms? Not an issue. Someone has bad breath? I ain't mad.
There are some notable downsides, however. I unwittingly put myself in a very dangerous sitiuation bc I could not smell a pretty severe gas leak. In fact, I easily could have died in an explosion due to the concentration of gas in the house (a neighbor was on vacation and asked me to go check things out). And worst of all, over time I came to really miss the smell of my wife, whose name is....well you can guess from this post I bet but at any rate, Bill and WJT know for sure. There came a time that I was badly missing the experience of smelling her, fond of her as I am. In fact I decided that I'd rather have to smell poo again if it meant I could smell her.
Well in one of those truly "heads I win tales you lose" scenarios, I actually regained the ability to smell my wife WITHOUT being able to smell poo. True, I can now faintly smell some unpleasant odors like mildew but for the most part, gross smells are not something I can detect anymore. The part you wrote about keeping Amberlite away from ill-smelling articles made me think of all this. My nose has followed those instructions and I hope it stays that way.
This morning I stopped at a convenience store. They were doing a promotion for what is called “blue-green tea,” with lots of posters in that color. Despite the Chinese name, the actual color of this beverage is, you guessed it, amber.
William,
Part 1 of 2
You wrote: "They were doing a promotion for what is called
~~~~~~
The ambers are the embers. : a small piece of burning
or glowing coal or wood in a dying fire.
Big picture, ask yourself :
What's dying? What's being 'restarted?
A Global Reset perhaps?
Big Picture:
Perhaps the reset is
The Fourth Industrial Revolution?( see link )
The ouroboros is symbolic of endings and beginnings.
Death and rebirth.
Recall my previous comments and photo of the Blue Morpho
about a year or so ago.
Also and speaking of beverage recall my comment
about Blue Run Ember
Kentucky Bourbon ( see the re- link )
Recall I just recently sent you the pic of the beautiful green
Luna Moth which was on the side of our house near the door
a couple of days ago.
Look at the website below of the Blue Run Ember Kentucky
Bourbon. Kinda look like the beautiful green Luna moth, no?
Also as I wrote to you in my recent email, our bees are back.
The last hive was in 2008. The new swarm is trying to
get back into the old hive.
I was able to stop the swarm from coming
into our house ( I won't tell you how and NO,
it wasn't voodoo or satanic , Oh My! ).
Orkin is coming out tomorrow to try to seal up the old hive.
The connection to the recent bees returning
is interesting given that Honey, like Bourbon is amber color, no?
To date, 2025, there has been 4 bee hive experiences
at our house since 1993.
Another interesting amber/golden symbolism
is the 2017 movie The Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
See the links below .
Recall I shared my perspective of the symbolism
of the Kingsman on your blog several years ago.
In the links of the trailers
note the blue- green hues (especially the sweet
whip jaguar;-)) and the blue green awing of
the Kingsman's Taylor Shop in London which 'coincidently
the address is 11 ( the El's ) .
Note the London Eye, the orange jacket,
the 'Stateside Kingsman in Kentucky ( the BLUE -GRASS
state) and home of Bourbon,. Note the amber hues,
the Kingsmen's logo which is the ouroboros
symbolic of endings and beginnings.
The Kingsman are the Übermensch .
Superman, also an Ubermensch, wore
a yellow and red serpent shield.
Yellow and red ( Maritime Signal flag Oscar
meaning Man Overboard)
when mixed produces orange which
Eggys ( the protagonist in The Kingsman)
wears a orange jacket after the bombing/ ending
of the Kingsman's headquarters in London.
Note the scene in the trailer of the Statue of Liberty ,
(which the Statue of Liberty is copper( burnish amber ,)
patina to Green.
Also and IMO your recent blue-green Tea sync is yet another attempt
to get your attention.
William,
part 2
In Black Vernacular English ( BVE) the 'T'( tea) means:
Copy and paste ( see links , asterisks' mine)
"That's the tea" is a way of ***confirming that what was
just said is the truth or juicy gossip***.
"Spilling the tea" means sharing the latest gossip or secrets."
~~~~~
The wording :' confirming that what was just said is truth',
is interesting given my previous comment about
your post of the Cyan magazine cover with the amber hair model
and the text under the photo: ' Just the Way you are.'
Meaning being true to yourself.
As I previously commented I personally believe
that synchronicity, telepathy, dreams,
and paranormal experiences are messages from our soul.
Not to be feared, or forced, intellectual 'ized
rationalized OR ignored.
If our soul wants us to know something,
and IMHO
through synchronicity the puzzle pieces
will easily come to us.
