Not one jot or tittle?

Over at The Magician's Table, I ask why Waite systematically modifies the letter yodh ("jot") when he writes the name of God on his Tarot cards.

Looks like the "Moon" card is dropping it like it's yod.

Yes, and they're normal yodhs, not the distorted ones he uses in his Tetragrammata. Ditto for his Ace of Swords.

Most of them are normal, but if you look carefully you can find at least 2 mirrored yodhs (for example, the second from left in the top row) and some are ambiguous. Either way, it makes not one iota of difference!

I was listening to some David Bowie last night and was struck by the album art for  Ziggy Stardust . Right above Bowie is a sign that says ...
