I am in the process of collecting my posts on the Fourth Gospel (as well as those about other parts of the Bible, from a Fourth Gospel perspective) on a new Fourth Gospel Blog. There's not much there yet, and nothing new, but expect new content in the near future. Ah Yes - The Fourth... That minor gospel written in extreme old age by Jesus's disciple John; long after the Epistles and Synoptics had been written, read and approved by him; and had defined the true and essential nature of Christianity...
Seems like John was just filling-in a few minor gaps; embroidering and elaborating on the esoteric, mystical and abstractly philosophical aspects - in a pretentiously literary way that is pretty incomprehensible and (let's be honest) not really essential.
Indeed, Johnny-boy was lucky to have it included in the canon at all, given how much he leaves-out and gets wrong.

Looking forward to digging my teeth into this! I recently gave Bruce's Fourth Gospel minibook another read and picked up on many ideas I missed the first time around.
