Another point in favor of democracy is that mass elections do tend to ensure that kings meet certain very basic standards of competence and normality. Of course many democratically elected leaders are scoundrels, and some of them are relatively incompetent — but I feel pretty safe in saying that the U.S. has never elected a president with a two-digit IQ and never will. Nor do 12-year-olds win elections, or people with serious mental illnesses.
We regret the error.

I doubt Dubya has a triple-digit IQ. So the above -- written four years after the Dubya presidency -- didn't hold much water to begin with.
Dubya was relatively dim but certainly above 110. Same goes for Ford, Harding, or any other "dumb" president.

Do you really think that 'we the people' elect the POTUS?
I personally believe that the last POTUS that 'we the people
EL-ected and 'casted our vote( voltage )for was JFK.
JFK became a broken arrow and in order to insure there would
be no more broken arrows, I believe
that a 'selection' process was enacted for all future POTUS.
Which would explain WHY in 1965( 2 years after the ritual
sacrifice (on 11/22/63 and on the 33 degree parallel)
Black people were thrown a bone and 'given' the right to vote.
The 'Powers that Be' knew that votes for POTUS would no
longer matter anyway so why not? Plus it would 'appease'
The Civil Rights moment led by MLK (who was a Mason).

As I commented and predicted, and I absolutely believe, that globally and especially
America is on the precipice of a Shifting of Ages aka The Great Reset.
